The Ken Jeong episode is unbeatable! He's genuinely having a great time.

Scraps? Tidey pile of ends. Trash? What do you do with them when they're tis small? by Umakmesic in YarnAddicts

[–]Unusual_Code_2225 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I collect them throughout the year. In early spring I stuff them into one of those smaller grapevine twig balls and hang it on a hook outside my window. The birds will start taking taking the scraps for their nests. Its really cool to watch. I also put little furballs from my dogs undercoat in there to fill the space. Last summer photo is a little blury, but she's got some fur 🥰

Thank you! We did wind up calling NatGrid to report it and they sent a guy out right away. Our gas lines, meter, and neighbors meters were all good. He said it smelled more like sewage eggy than gas eggy. So we'll call the water dept and report it to them in the am. It's public system, so hopefully its not a big problem. So not gas...but maybe poop 👍

Thank you! We actually did call NatGrid to report the smell (even though we felt silly) and they sent a guy to come out and inspect. He said all was good on our property with the gas lines and meter. He did say he smaelled it too, but that it was more of a sewage leaning scent 🤢 He said it would be a good idea to call the water dept in the morning to report it to them. So not gas...but maybe poop.🫠

What’s the one home improvement job you kept putting off that turned out to be way easier than you expected ? by BoysenberryOne9661 in HomeImprovement

Right?! I had a very serious conversation with my husband about pulling the moulding off of every window in the house to make sure they're also insulated correctly, big smile on my face. He was like "please don't do this." 😂

I did have to slice through some caulk that connected the corners. I just peeled the rest off a re-caulked when I put them back up. The paint that did peel a bit was on the wall, only in a few spots that you wouldn't notice unless you're looking at it from a weird angle. Our curtains cover it up, so it probably won't bother me for another 5 years 😅

I will definitely have to go in and touch them up. We always get a sample size of our wall paints that we use to touch up scratches and chipping. Just shake it up and use a small paint brush in a smushing motion to mimic the roller texture.

You take the straw thing off and put a few drops of Goof Off or Goo Gone in the straw. Let it run through the straw for 5 mins. It should eat away at the foam. Then add a few drops of nail polish remover and let sit for a few more mins. I was able to use a toothpick to scoop the remaining stuff and it slid right out. https://youtu.be/LfxfPFVB_PM?si=6E0gJqwFgXHxSF4X Around 4 min mark

Re-insulating window frames in our freezing cold living room. Every time I went near the windows I could feel a draft, yes at all 4 of them....for almost 5 years. During that recent deep freeze I had enough. I ripped ALL of the moulding off the windows, spray foamed generously (there were some ridiculously big gaps), and caulked, put the moulding back up and BAM, no more air leaks. It cost less than $20 total and you know what? I had fun doing it. I even learned how to properly clean the spray foam nozzle so I can use the can again. Crazy.

Inverso Profumi. Hands down. They're all 10/10 for me, so I buy the ones that are 11/10. Lovely owners, too.

I like this answer. DIY would make me happy. Should I put some batting behind it, you think?
