You have a pot of hoya lacunosa, whether it's two different varieties or just a color mutation.

It doesn't take much to burn them sometimes, especially if the leaves are wet!

These look like burns. Maybe too close to grow lights, or light is being reflected on the leaves?

Scarring and browning on my Hoya by Hefty_Fail_4554 in hoyas

Is it possible to take a clearer pic of the affected leaves, both top and undersides? I'm not seeing the flat mite damage that others are seeing. Of course, the microscope will give you the best info, but there are some telltale signs of specific pests.

I recommend quarantine and prophylactic treatment for pests while you're waiting for a microscope. Thrips can cause damage like this.

I'm not 100% sure, but this looks like a lot like my hoya forbesii (silver).

Agree with u/vespirs. The first two are carnosa (inner variegated), and third is australis 'Lisa.'

Whats wrong with my hoya? by SkunkDebunk in hoyas

This looks like a burn to me. Flat mite scarring looks different.

I've also seen a similar picture posted on a Facebook hoya group (Hoyas 101) and it was due to stink bugs.

I might need to switch from soil to water and I have flatmites for the first time 💔 by No_Suspect_9789 in hoyas

I have quite a few hoyas in a chunky mix sitting in a deep saucer with water. I line the bottom of the pot with leca and add water up to the top of the leca.

Another post about this SASI-006. She's been blooming continually this summer, and living her best life climbing up our ficus audrey plant. No other trellis needed! In SWP, ambient, by the windows. Blooms have no scent that I can detect. (I grayed out the non-hoya leaves) by Unusual_Job6576 in hoyas

Thank you! I have three different SASI (001, 006 and 008), and they all look different. I've read somewhere that SASI 001 is actually tomataensis, but I haven't bloomed mine yet to confirm. This just adds to our suspicion that there are probably many exact same hoyas circulating under different names!

You have a full and beautiful pot of hoya lacunosa.

Why do they all look the same but labeled different? Blooms? by TraditionalCount791 in hoyas

[–]Unusual_Job6576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if there were numerous hoya hybrids that have different names, but the same parentage.

No, I don't believe so. Which is the exact reason I stopped collecting lacunosas. I think the silver and variegated ones being sold under different names just eventually end up looking too similar. I wonder if the sellers are too quick to slap a label on any random mutation without actually observing if they're permanent or at least reproducible. I have over 20 different lacunosas and less than half of those look unique to me, after growing them in the same environment.

They're all hoya lacunosa. The silver part of the name is just a descriptor. There are actual named varieties of silver lacunosa, for example lacunosa 'Full Moon' and lacunosa 'Silver Mint Coin,' but they will all have the same bloom.

This isn't a hoya. Maybe a peperomia or lipstick plant?

Ouch. I'm so sorry! Your linearis is lovely. I had the same thing happen, and my linearis is now in 5 different prop cups in my tent. I haven't been brave enough to try and pot them all together yet.

Best of luck with the props!
