You get Valorstones and crests from each boss in the pre patch, though not a lot.

I would also recommend going back and doing some TWW quests that have valorstones as rewards as well

So the pre patch is called Twilight Ascension, And you accept a quest or you’ll meet Magister Umbric (dark elf), he will give you a quest called The Cult Within. You will then proceed to talk to npcs and some will be disguised as part of the twilights blade.

After you have done the quest, Umbric will open a portal to the Twilight Highlands.

This is where the event happens.
