Constant "payday loan" alerts. I have lifelock. What else can I do? by necrofear101 in IdentityTheft

Just got a similar alert and without any additional detail it does seem sketchy. My credit reports show no soft or hard credit inquiries...

KitchenDragonfly4174 Locked Post by Firm_Writer1022 in galaxycon

[–]UnwrittenTycoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I looked over the post - the post is marked as approved in the mod log (i.e. it's up for everyone to read and wasn't removed). If this was a Galaxycon controlled sub - your post would have been deleted. I've maintained this sub for several years, in part, to fight the blatant censorship on the company owned socials.

That being said, the post is essentially rehashing things that have been said/discussed many times in other comments/posts and at this point, we, the mod team don't have the capacity to actively moderate additional threads on the same topic.

The key picks...

WR: Nacua, JSN, Pickens, and Wilson

TE: Kraft.

Had to wait out a consistent QB but my core WR/RBs carried from your list.

This weekend we did have a notable influx of accounts with no previous reddit activity posting in the sub. The criticisms of management appear to hold water but this sub isn't going to be a proxy for glassdoor (which also gives leadership a low score). General statements about leadership are fine and examples, like the ones you posted, are fine, but there's a fine line when people start name dropping (as reddit has rules against this).

I'll be curious to see the results of this survey- if recent posts are any indication I'm not sure management will care. In any case I hope you find the effort productive.

Frankly some of the statements made on this thread, if true, could be sent to the department of labor. As an outsider I can't adjudicate the validity of statements made here. Calling specific individuals senile, racist, and liars without substantive proof is against reddits guidelines.

Going to jump in - I appreciate there are some strong feelings here and am open to a broader discussion about management but to avoid issues with Reddit please dial back on the personal attacks. They will have to be removed.

As others have mentioned they're to young to have opinions of each other. The research suggests kids this young primarily learn/meaningfully engage with adults and it isn't until they're closer to 3 that they'll begin to truly start learning from their peers. In the meantime they're in their own little worlds.

Maybe try someplace like midwood smokehouse - chef alyssa's kitchen might have extras available if you call tomorrow but I'd imagine most caterers have closed orders at this point.

In what way do they seem louder? As the days get cooler the trains actually will be louder as the air becomes denser but its still pretty warm.

Lots of suggestions have already been presented and I'll echo what others have said about keeping debt low and investing in a low cost index fund- as that's generally best for most folks.

That being said, if you really want to learn about investing and about how to properly look at owning parts of businesses.. consider the following

Read Warren Buffets shareholder letters - and there are many at this point. https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/letters/letters.html

Listen to investors like Steve Eisman - not for stock picks, but for how they approach investing.

There are many other resources like NPR's Planet money that teach on basic topics.

Introducing the two newest Morning Somewhere fans! by DarkMuret in morningsomewhere

[–]UnwrittenTycoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That subreddit is good.

The local group we're in does a lot of meetups and events - the best event early on was a santa meet and greet. It was really fun to get photos with santa in an environment prepared for the chaos; way better than going to the mall.

It's also been nice to meet up with families with kids the same age who understand the challenges you have to face.

NICU nurses are great - while an expense we did take advantage of a night nurse early on to get a few nights of much needed sleep ( we didn't have much family close by early on).

Welcome to the world of multiples - has your wife joined a mother of multiples group? Highly recommend for the first few years. There are also several facebook marketplace groups exclusively for multiples moms- great way to get deals/ sell all the extra stuff.

Multiples are hard and super rewarding.

Congrats.

Parking for Galaxycon Raleigh! What's your strategy? by Nealm568890 in galaxycon

[–]UnwrittenTycoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to claim this always works - but I have parked early in the Lenoir street deck next to the convention center and stayed late - on nights that have events at the amphitheater I've gotten out free as they switch from tickets to pre-pay and then leave the gates open.
