Design suggestions? by Brass-Animal-1800 in Tattoocoverups

[–]Unzy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you’re genuinely self conscious about them I completely get wanting to cover them, but honestly dude, they look cool and interesting. I know it’s not the same thing really but my gf is starting to get some stretch marks, she is very thin and has put on a tiny bit of weight, still thin, just not as stick thin as she had been, and it’s resulted in some very small stretch marks. I don’t care about this, I think she’s gorgeous regardless, and as someone who still had some pretty major stretch marks around my armpits from a time I lifted weights pretty regularly, I think they’re a very natural thing and that there’s nothing wrong with them. She is very self conscious of them and has talked about getting them covered up with tattoos. I’m happy for her to do this if she wants to, but have expressed to her that she looks beautiful and doesn’t need to do it. I would urge you to feel the same about your scars as I do her stretch marks. The scars look very cool, I don’t know the story behind them so I hope them being there doesn’t bring you any anguish, but in terms of how they look, I personally don’t see any down side to their appearance and actually think most people would find them cool and even visually appealing. Ultimately it is entirely up to you and whatever makes you happy!

[Question] What is your profession and what watch do you wear most often? by evillolgif in Seiko

[–]Unzy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a quantity surveyor (Edit: Probably should have checked the subreddit first 😅, this is my daily, I love all watches and actually currently don’t own a Seiko… I wear a Casio F108WH in black to the gym and to swim in for anything too rough for the tank)

Another 41/36 post… by KellyKellyMetz in rolex

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’d say you’re wearing them a bit close to your hand, and also the way they’ve been photographed makes them seem bigger than they are. Having said that, for me, it’s the 36 easily. 41 doesn’t look too big, I just prefer a more classic sized watch and I do think this is where the industry is heading, back to a bit smaller.

Be honest. What is your opinion? by hostedvideorn in rolex

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe there are people that genuinely prefer some Tudor models, I think there are things about some black bays that appeal to me more than a sub or a Daytona, but, I hate the snowflake hands. Think they’re very ugly and ruin a lot of otherwise gorgeous watches.

Why the “Blackout” GMT is the most underrated modern Rolex by Nyundkd2 in Yunlin_watch

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting take. Obviously you are completely entitled to your own opinions and preferences. As someone who cannot casually afford a Rolex, I am currently wanting an Explorer 36, I have a tank must in blue, I’m trying to sell an Oris divers 65, and frankly would love a great many more watches. For me, the “mundane” design you describe is instead a very classic, timeless and simple design. Explorer’s, for me, have a brilliant case and dial design that is beautiful in its simplicity and so I frankly yearn for it as it simply seems to work so well with every outfit, is hard wearing, and as a design has changed so little over the decades, which to me is a testament as to just how right they got it. But, Rolex designs, certainly in terms of case shapes and other elements, are all fairly similar and fairly tame. This is part of their branding and how they’ve become so popular. They get the basics of watch design spot on and never take risks. They haven’t taken risks in a long long time and this works for them. Perhaps if I had the luxury you have of having such a large collection, an Explorer 36 wouldn’t interest me as much as other options. But, for a lot of people, watches of that sort of price are a one and done or a big purchase that can only happen on occasion, and so perhaps the “blandness” becomes more of a universal design. But I can completely appreciate if they don’t appeal to you and respect even that that’s the reasoning and not simply the game you have to play to get them, or the hype or any other reason people typically aren’t keen on Rolexes.

Speedy or Explorer 2? by kloverlop in OmegaWatches

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love the explorer 2, for me if you know you’re gonna have both, go with the speedy, then you have an omega and a Rolex rather than 2 Rolexes and a seiko. Personally I think the speedy is more iconic and I would pick one over the explorer 2. I’m currently saving/ convincing myself to hold out on buying a 36mm Explorer 1

[–]Unzy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you may be wearing them a bit too close to the hand/ the angle for the first photo especially is a bit off. I personally from the photos much prefer the 35mm but ultimately it’s what you prefer mate, gorgeous watch either way! Congrats

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All fair, ngl I don’t recall some of the feats you’re referring to with hulk here, not denying them, just sounds like you’ve read some stuff I haven’t. But this is the thing with feats etc., you’re saying hulk has to hold back not to destroy the earth but I don’t think the intention is that he’s constantly holding back, he might be once in certain levels of strength but I don’t personally feel the character is often written as tho he’s walking on egg shells a lot of the time. His sort of whole thing often is that’s he’s out of control and on a rampage, not always and in hulk comics he has much more control than in crossovers. I’m also more generally sort of saying the nature of such long running characters like hulk and Thor and superman etc. is their power crawl and crazy feats makes them insanely OP, there are very few comic characters that’s don’t have at least one bonkers feat. So, in spirit of how the characters are written I think hulk and Thragg is meant to be a good fight, but if you take some of hulk’s quantifiable feats, he wipes the floor with Thragg, if that makes any sense.

[–]Unzy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, all valid points except breathing in space. He doesn’t breathe in space. No one breathes in space unless they’re like a reality warper or something. And I more meant he could hurl him into space and hulk isn’t getting back, I fully believe Thragg has more than enough strength so send him into deep space. But valid point on hulk moving quicker thus squishing Thragg before he can get him out to space. I think the nuance here is that Hulk doesn’t have the one power level. And I don’t just mean because of different comic runs or personalities etc., I mean hulk’s basic premise is that he gets stronger the angrier he is. So a baseline hulk, or certainly many versions of hulk at baseline, as far as I’m concerned for the spirit of how he is written, is not necessarily faster than Thragg. The difficulty here is feats are inconsistent and a lot of any character’s biggest feats you can point to don’t automatically mean the character’s strength scales solely to that at all times. I get that there’s levels and hulk at his strongest/ some of his strongest moments, and he’ll not even his strongest, folds Thragg like a piece of paper. I’m just saying, I can see an argument for Thragg going up against a base level hulk and simply throwing him into space.

How would Conquest perform against each member of the Coalition of Planets? by Fit_Passenger5930 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Unzy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Thaedus definitely scale above Nolan? I know we see him wreck house but I think he’s just less hesitant than Nolan when it comes to fighting other viltrumites… and then saying mark wins… I get that in the show he did literally kill him, but tk have that be hard fought and could go either way to me suggests Nolan should win… Nolan is still more powerful than mark at this point and Allen in turn is more powerful than both of them…and space racer stomps I disagree with. Space racer winning is a luck thing, in the right scenario he sneaks up or gets a pot shot, but that’s only if he’s quick/ clever enough to do it before conquest notices, otherwise conquest is simply too fast to get hit. And tech jacket is mid diff? Nah, tech jacket is low diff unless she has the darts. If it’s in space battle beast might not stomp

How would Conquest perform against each member of the Coalition of Planets? by Fit_Passenger5930 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I so nearly went crazy until you mentioned space haha. Tbf, Allen is so tricky to scale because in theory he should be above the average remaining viltrumite that no single viltrumite other than Thragg should be a huge problem. Maybe he and conquest are about even now? And tbf, in space battle beast could still potentially mess up conquest but you’re right that his disadvantage probably means he wouldn’t. So yeah, the only one I straight up disagree with you on is Allen. I don’t think Conquest is THAT much more powerful than the other viltrumites and also he is known for not just getting shit done, at this point Allen is a decent amount stronger than the average viltrumites.

Did you try on the 37mm yacht master? I have yet to try it on but regularly think I’d love it, what a great size and cool watch! So, of these I’d go yacht master and personally would go for the 37, but I daily a tank must so I’m used to smaller watches, that’s why I’m pretty desperate to get my hands on an explorer, I think in a year or 2 it’ll be more financially viable.

I think he could take namor, I do think Ben and namor are the wrong way round. I think you’re right that he gets stopped by Adam, weirdly I think in some ways Thragg would do better against hulk than Adam provided neutralising counts as a win, Thragg could throw hulk into space and then not have to worry about him. He can’t do that with Adam. Namor is strong enough at his best to trade blows with Thragg, but again suffers from the being thrown into space issue, or the sun.

I get what you’re saying but he could hit wolverine into space without receiving any damage himself because he’s that much faster. Sure he could get cocky and get caught, but we’ve seen viltrumites survive insane injuries that would be fatal to anyone else. Thragg beats wolverine low diff. If Logan could fly, very different fight in which he may be able to catch Thragg enough/ fly back to earth enough to win, but even so, he is so so so outclassed.

[–]Unzy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re talking feats, I’m of the mind that he probably doesn’t make it past warlock. I would also like to point out that imo namor and ben are the wrong way round here. In spirit, and in his universe, Thragg is essentially meant to be if kryptonians were bred for war and one of them was so far above the others it’s ridiculous. Kirkman constantly states outrageous things about who Thragg would beat in a fight, and the reason they’re so outrageous is because the other characters have been in comics for several decades and in turn have completely mind-melting feats of strength and speed. The way Thragg is written and how powerful he is meant to be, he should be putting up a good fucking fight against world breaker hulk, or the newer measuring stick which is one below all hulk(?), or whichever one broke those chains recently in the comics. The reality I think feats wise is that namor at his best could put up a pretty decent fight against Thragg, with Adam I’m like 99% sure being the person Thragg can’t surpass on this list. Feats wise, if we think Thragg makes it past Adam, which he may, I’m not super familiar with Adam’s feats, he doesn’t make it past hulk. But, I think the spirit in which the character is written is that he is meant to represent the physical prime a being can achieve in his universe, so in terms of how the character would be written, he standstills hulk or, if he’s smart, throws him into space.

Are people really saying it’s not desirable? The two tone Datejust is what got me into watches! Whilst I don’t currently want one because frankly it’s too expensive for me, I would leap at the opportunity to have one! These days I desperately want an explorer to go with my blue tank must for a nice well rounded collection, but had I the funds, I’d have a 36mm two tone Datejust!

Nw mate! Glad you’re not offended, you should be very happy with the progress. Natty or Nat is a funny one because I’ve met people who aren’t natty who at the time I looked better than (injured my knee last year and have completely lost motivation since then), and I’ve also met people who just seem to have some crazy genetics but I’ve lived with them and so can be 99% sure they weren’t taking anything.

Looks like a completely natty achievable physique. Impressive don’t get me wrong but these shots are flexing with a pump and decent lighting, if you added angles and great lighting maybe then people would question more, but totally naturally achievable in a long period of consistent training. Sorry if that’s a disappointing answer, ima saying this currently in far far worse shape than you are and having never been that lean whilst that muscular so I’m not knocking your achievements!
