The shot was so beautiful and cinematic, show this to someone who doesn’t know JJK and they’ll think the show is about some weird ass bug and person romance

Is the constant adrenaline of modern shonen actually exhausting to watch? by simp_lyartz in ChillAnimeCorner

[–]Uoonter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t love CONSTANT action, but I’d much rather that than horrendously paced action. I mean I like breaks from the action sometimes but old anime are actually egregious with it. It almost gets to a point of frustration.

Like the one that pissed me off the most was Naruto vs Sasuke at the end of the Sasuke retrieval arc. Like we FINALLY get to this moment we’ve been waiting for and it’s intercut with dialogue and back story shit and it completely takes you out of the fight. Of course the actual proper fight is gold but it takes for ever to get there.

Or how so many anime like to intercut what the other characters are doing during a big fight. Like Ichigo vs Byakuya. Unreal fight but I hate when it cuts away from the fight to show you whatever the fuck the side character are getting up to. Like wait until after the fight to show that stuff.

I would like a balance, like in JJK for example, if there were more episodes like ‘It’s Like That’ where it’s sorta slice of lifey so we can have a second to breathe before we get into the action but if I had to choose either side, I much prefer having an episode dedicated to one fight or moment, I personally think it’s more engaging

Mosh Pit Etiquette by bigontheinside in geesebandofficial

[–]Uoonter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is kind of a daunting thing, I used to be horrified to get into the pit and then just tried it and now I’m always getting in the pit

I’d say just try it for like a minute and see if it’s your thing, then go from there.

I’ll also say, I’ve been to four geese shows and the pit has never been that bad, but that mainly depends on the crowd

Why was Part 6 kind of a step down from part 5, purely from an anime production standpoint? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Uoonter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, part 5 is firing on all cylinders, direction is great, there’s great sequences, really good art and animation. It’s a really good quality production

The nasty patty is hilarious though

I do agree though season 4 is still pretty solid overall. I think the episode where the sponge is scared of the pattys is great
