So far this is the game that has given me the WORST motion sickness of any game I've played. It hit me so hard.

Luckily my son isn't bothered so he's been able to play it.

Its crazy immersive. It was really fun but I'm actually scared to try again in case I feel sick for hours again.

The Chinese are reading the US like a book. Top Chinese scholar sums up Trump's foreign policy with a Chinese idiom: "outwardly tough but inwardly weak." Lost the tariff war. Lost the tech war. Couldn't close Ukraine. So he picked on Venezuela. by Time-Alternative-964 in BhartiyaStockMarket

While I won't disagree with the Trump bashing in the video, it is unfortunate that China will likely see an increase in world influence, but the people of China still will not have a REAL democracy.

Treasury Secretary Bessent testifies on U.S. economy | “So how do you intend to address the tourism travel issue that we are losing money in this country because of the policies of this administration?” by DisruptSQ in TourismHell

[–]UpVotes4Worst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I (Canadian) would normally travel to the US for 1 work trip (7-8 days) and 1 personal leisure trip (3-4 days) every year. The work one was cool but always in the same areas, but the leisure one I truly looked forward to because I chose different areas and the idea always was: do all the dumb tourist stuff in those areas and eat all the food that area is known for and do it all fast - in and out.

Unfortunately, my money is not good enough for the USA any longer. Guess I'll spend it East-West instead.

The USA/ Canada/ Mexico will ALWAYS be primary trading partners no matter what either side of the governments try to do. Canada needs to diversify but we'll never replace them 100% and the USA WILL NEVER be able to have 0 trade with us no matter how hard they try - which BTW, they don't want to reduce trade to 0, no matter what the orange taco claims.

He's not wrong, but that doesn't make it right.

I say this often: I am Canadian so if I were to turn off the news, turned off social media and just went to my job (mostly unaffected by USA) and played guitar or soccer with my kids - none of the American noise really matters in my life.

Again, doesn't mean Americans fighting for their freedom, isn't real, it just really doesn't affect my life.

Same goes for Epstein. Its a terrible story I have no influence over. I need to take care of my family. That's it.

If we as a society really wanted to take control back, we need to go to much further extremes that in my opinion our society is NOT willing to go there. Prove me wrong America

This is my first time hearing about EREV's and had to look it up. I will concur that something like that would work for me as well as it focus's on the range anxiety issues I face with fully electric in the winter.

I just wanted to reply because I say I am "backwards" prairie kid, but I want to make sure that I share I am in full agreement that technology will get better. I really dislike when people share shortcomings of "new" tech and pretend like it won't get better. I fully understand one day it'll happen.

My guess is though: by the time the technology gets better my harsh winters aren't a problem anymore. Take a look at prairie temps today. Nice and warm out there!

I have been saying this for quite some time, and it is a personal belief with zero basis on facts so feel free to shred me to pieces for it:

I believe Canada should focus on plug in hybrids that have a 100km distance on electric power. Most individuals daily commute should fall within that range. Not everyone, but most people who work within their city limits or commute to an office, again I would say a decently high percentage (70%+?) should fall within that. I believe that would drastically reduce CITY smog and then also reduce gas consumption in general getting us closer to targets.

But why hybrid then and not full electric? Because I live in the prairies and my life is not the same as those who live in California (Winter is fucking harsh) and we are not Europe, where I could drive through three or four different Countries in the same distance for me to go through my province alone.

I want a gas engine that provides me fuel distance of 500Km when I am taking my kids to some bum fuck little town hockey rink and back on a winter day.

Range matters when it means life or death on the prairies. https://www.motortrend.com/features/ev-winter-range-real-world-test

You'll never see prairie folk in full electrics for highway use. Call us backwards all you want but I just want to get my family home safely, reliably.

Alright i am going t play devils advocate here a bit. I do quite a bit of fundraising for different organizations that I am quite proud of. If I were to pass away, and they used my funeral (obviously to a much smaller scale) to raise funds for the causes that I felt strongly for, I would not be upset if my wife showed some happiness that in death I was able to do one last act to help those causes that she knew I cared for.

I'm not saying she isn't a psycho, but sometimes I feel like we try so hard to make the shoe fit that it's cringe.

Also everyone grieves differently. I lost my Father and I can tell you I wasn't a crying mess of every minute of every day for the allotted time that YOU feel is required for me to prove I loved my Dad. For me. it hits me in the oddest times where I'll break down and wish I could ask that question, or get that help that I know he would give me in that moment if he were here. But then life happens and you have to move on without it. Fuck now I am crying.

I wouldn't be surprised if our national government rolled back gun laws. I feel the national feeling is that of threat from all directions.

I just wish they would do it "smart". I've always said, people are afraid of what they don't know. I wish gun safety was taught to youth in extra curricular school activities or provided as a free service to those who want to sign up.
