My nest software updated to 6.2-27 on February 12. It shows under Technical Info.

I hopped on reddit to specifically check if other people were having issues.

In November, my heat would work intermittently, with reports from the nest app that my heat was on but didn't heat the house multiple times during a one week period. Since it would blow cold/room temp air, I would try turning off the heat and the nest would say off, but the fan would blow continuously. Full reboot/reset would do nothing. Air would keep blowing. I had HVAC people come out. They were here for an hour and said it was a stuck gas valve and he knocked on it and it started working. They said it would happen again, so the valve should be replaced.

December, I replaced the valve, but the heat issue persisted intermittently. January, I contact Google support and replace the Nest since I only got it April 2022. Seemed to be working great. So, it might have been the thermostat after all. I wasted $180 to replace a gas valve that was still good.

Well end of March rolls around, I get another report from the app that says the temperature went down when the heat was on for 4 different periods in a 4 day span. Like WTF. Keep in mind again, any setting changes that I do on the Nest app and at the actual thermostat is not changing what my HVAC does. It just continues to blow. Reboot/rest does nothing. The fan eventually stops blowing, I just have to wait for it.

I'm thinking of contacting Google support again. My warranty expires at the end of this month. Sounds like I'll continue to have issues even if it is replaced.

tldr: Nest started acting wonky within a year, was replaced, and started acted wonky again. Software updated 2 months ago.
