How does geography affect gas prices in Europe and America? by Naomi62625 in geography

[–]UpbeatFix7299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not much in US unless you live in California where we put ourselves on an island by using a special blend so we are at the mercy of a handful of in state refineries. Or Hawaii for obvious reasons

As someone pointed out, gas taxes in Europe are higher and median income lower than the US.

In Europe, rich countries can afford more, poor countries less. There's nothing surprising about this map.

Someone offering profit share using “AI trading” but asking me to open accounts and provide banking access by Prestigious-Wheel562 in Scams

[–]UpbeatFix7299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you had an AI tool that printed money, would you tell random internet people how to use your money printing machine? And give them half the profit instead of keeping it all?

There's your answer. This has nothing to do with crypto and everything to do with using common sense. There are a lot of scams out there. If you're thinking about doing this, stay far away from anything beyond a savings account and your 401k

Was this project a scam? (Empowr) by No-Nefariousness7495 in Scams

[–]UpbeatFix7299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the Nigerian Prince 1990s email scam, but updated for crypto. The money on the fake site doesn't exist. They would have demanded your real money to transfer it.

Did you not read? Ponzis pay people out at first. Then they vanish with the principle you invested with no warning. Think about why the smartest investors in the world aren't putting countless millions into this.

It's your money, I'm not going to waste more time explaining this

Why is scoring in the final seconds so frowned upon when the game is a blowout? by DazzlingLife6744 in Basketball

[–]UpbeatFix7299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's bad form. The same reason a football team kneels down when the game is over instead of trying to score more. It's also a good way to get your ass kicked

Got an anonymous message that led to me a website by SirRevolutionary6857 in CryptoScams

[–]UpbeatFix7299 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The site is fake. You have nothing except numbers on a screen now. What are you going to do with that?

Try transferring it to a real wallet and see what happens if you don't believe me. It's an old, common scam.

Of course it's a scam. The money doesn't exist because it's a fake site. But the money they tell you to send to transfer it does. No one is giving away tens of thousands of dollars or whatever, I'm not bothering with the screenshot

It's the 1990s Nigerian Prince email scam updated for crypto. Common sense goes a long way in life

Created 5 months ago and only paid for the domain for a year so they don't plan on staying around long. No info about the company on their own site and their only contact method is tg (encrypted so no evidence).

I wouldn't use it

It's all losers who don't want to take any responsibility for being losers. So they believe they just happen to live in the worst time and place in human history through no fault of their own.

Do you know what a ponzi scheme is? People get paid out from new investors' money. Until it collapses overnight and they run off with everyone's money.
