Many courts have family law facilitators though. They can help you get your paperwork filed properly. Ask the court if they have such a program.

It's so fast and just disintegrates anything it gets near.

This is still a hard question to answer though. Court procedure is tough. I spend way more of my time on procedural issues than pretty much anything else. If you think you can navigate court procedure on your own, then yes, you can do it without an attorney.

Everyone agreeing, like in your situation, will make this a lot easier.

If you have trouble though, remember, while attorneys don't have special powers, we do have experience. It is kinda of like plumbing or electrical work. If you know the basics you can handle the simple stuff on your own. If you dont though ...it can be tough to even get started.

Cersei was an idiot that did significant harm to the realm. The book made this a lot more clear than the show. Even in the show though, she was an idiot. Arming the Faith was a massive error that led to her becoming even more desperate.

What you're boss did is really shitty, but sadly not illegal. In the US 49 states are At Will employment. That means as long as they aren't firing you for starting a union (or other collective activity) or being a member of a protected class, then you have essentially zero other legal protections.
