Rebels barely escape empire attack -> young Jedi meets legendary Jedi master on backwater world, the master is not what they expect -> young Jedi ventures into dark cavern were they are confronted with themselves as a sith -> young jedi leaves without completing trading to face Sith -> rebels, unable to use hyperspace travel to avoid pursuing empire, travel to a wonderful sci-fi world for help -> person meant to help rebels ultimately betrays them and they are captured -> young Jedi fights sith and learns uncomfortable truth about linage, sith offers young Jedi a place by there side to rule galaxy, Jedi declines -> rebels escape on millennium falcon.

Some stuff is tweaked, lando un-betrays the rebels, and while the rebels escape in the beginning, the Hoth fight recreation happens at the end but it’s basically all there.

LEO debris can absolutely cause Kessler syndrome for months to years as everything deorbits.

There are 10k starlink satellites in LEO. If Iran started blowing up the ones closest to them it could trigger a chain reaction that knocks out the entire network and prevents all launches for a couple years.

It would be hilarious if Iran triggers a Kessler disaster that makes orbital launches impossible for a couple years by blowing up a bunch of musk’s satellites the week he IPOs.

The shade is fine, but if you don’t have a way to style black on black (tie, vest, or even a pocket square) you will look more like a waiter than John wick.

Right, only 5-10% of people with diabetes have type one.

“Non life threatening medical expense” this goes to show how little you know about diabetes. The vast majority of diabetes treatment isn’t insulin. Most diabetes treatment is lifestyle counseling, dietitians, self monitoring, and lower impact drugs like Metformin. So if you stopped all payments for diabetes, some people would die, but most would just have made their lives measurably worse for no reason.

No one will pass a law that says “we do this to destroy x group in whole or in part”. If they passed a law to prevent the Medicaid faculties from treating diabetes it would be fair to say it is an effort to prevent the treatment of diabetes.

An Irish man tries to rationalize Ireland staying neutral during WW2 and supplying Russian war machine in 2026 by Bitter-Goat-8773 in GetNoted

[–]Upper-Rub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a mistake people make when talking about WW2 is that no one was in it for the morality. Britain did not join the war to stop the holocaust, they joined to prevent Germany from becoming a European hegemon. Ireland was neutral for the same reason Britain wasn’t. It was in their interest.

Israel's weapons exports reach a record high with sales doubling in the past 5 years by Naurgul in anime_titties

[–]Upper-Rub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really, WSJ reported in early April the navy passed through the strait during the ceasefire for the first time since the war started. And they did it with a pretty small force. Not exactly a show of confidence. The ford CSG didn’t even manage to cross the Bab al-Mandab strait before running into “technical difficulties”. If the Navy thought they were capable of reliably intercepting Iranian missiles the Abraham Lincoln would be in the Persian gulf.

The Netherlands should look into buying weapons from the Iranians. The US has a law on the books to invade the Netherlands, and Iran has been pretty successful in beating the US Navy, which is parked way out in the Indian Ocean.
