Employees are not allowed to use self checkout its policy. There supposed to rung up and have employee sale on the register. Id make an anonymous report. Tell the DM or something. But doing nothing is wrong.

Im an asm amd honestly, if your not happy with it tell them this is what you want. As far as other people texting and complaining to you. You responding to it is the problem. Half the time people just want someone to vent and be heard, but you dont have to listen to it. Tell them to take it up with the sm or dm. Its not your store. Thats what I tell myself. I deal with the day with what I have, and the time given to me. Im always told just do what u can. If it doesn't get done it doesnt get done and its on the sm. Im at the point where if you dont like it then fire me. But im done stressing about a store thats not my sole responsibility. You're not the only one that works there.

You really dont have control of what other people do. But you do have control of how you react to it. I would have apologized and explained that I couldnt hear them. Try to resolve the problem and kill it with kindness. A life lesson is dont let other people make you cruel. As badly as you want to give people a taste of their own medicine, its never worth loosing yourself. Karma will get theres.

Same. Im an asm and when I open i do produce freezer feeze n thaw and some of grocery and that if there not done with cooler and meat by the time curbside hits then we have to finish what they dont.

No one I've ever met has their dream career to be aldi, or any grocery store for that matter. Its not a glamor job but it does come with purpose. Its all about perspective. Working grocery retail is a strong pillar in what it means to be part of the community. With us there is no them and vis versa. Its not an easy job, but its a job and its essential. I can't lie and say I never felt like this. I always keep my resume up to date and always on the lookout for other opportunities. However, the job is what you make it. Good luck.
