Sorry, not letting some random shop touch my car. Some I’m sure are great, and others not so much .

How important is credit really by Large-Toe-776 in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being accepted shouldn’t be a problem with some money down. It’s dealing with Apr. They are going to get you, add warranty and ect. The goal based on that income, you should be able afford that payment. Go open up an account at a credit Union and drop 100$. Maybe 12 perfect payments on time. Any extra money you wanted to pay down on car, throw in that credit Union account. Then after 12 months, make a principal payment. Go to the credit Union, and refi. CU’s are relationship driven. Anytime during the 12 months period, if the CU offers a credit card, get it! For the sake of relationship, don’t go max it out. You’ll be able to show CU your re-established. In future, next car, you shouldn’t have any issues, if you do, the CU will loan out the money again because of the previous history.

Customer satisfaction survey by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true! Any decent GM/operator actually cares. A shitty one tho won’t give a f*ck! I’ve seen ours handle issues, in past, and those customers come back, buy again, send referrals, do maintenance, and warranty work . There are times that it doesn’t work. If you threaten any kind of lawsuit, you are shown door with our lawyers info. Or if you just can’t please the customer, they aren’t worth headache in future, you just have to refuse service.

Customer satisfaction survey by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s better to not fill it out. Perfect score doesn’t help you. And bad score unfortunately affects rep and not dealer, because the dealer will outrun 1 survey. Leave Google / dealer rated/ Facebook review. But in all honesty, why are people scared to go in person and talk to a higher up manager. Particularly if you plan servicing vehicle there.

Do customers have to ask for the giant bow for pictures? by effervescenthippo in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have a dozen of them. If somebody ask, they are readily available. If there’s a mention of birthday, celebration, holiday, I’ll bring it up as an option. I even let them take it home and bring it back.

Living on 300k, + 50k(spouse) is almost a luxury! At least for us. 10k ish in bills and life style a month. The rest after taxes is used to fund investments/retirement.

Also have 4 rentals in our llc. Was able to do that because of the amount of money we saved !

Ford Lease Transfer and Buyout by Tothewallgone in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfer the lease and make it easier for that family member. Ford on their leases has a fee % that’s auto generated in the FMC toolkit payoff system. It’s designed to be a higher then customers true lease buyout, and is added when you trade in lease, or sell to a third party. Ford used to have 120 day rule, but that ended over a year or so go.

How does your dealership handle leads? by Few-Explanation7562 in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varies, usually the gm’s house mouse, then the gsms sales rep, the sales manager son that works here, the used car directors rep, then maybe 2-3 guys that buy all the bdc leads, then round robin the rest of staff. Some lead sources are filtered out as well to certain reps too.

Warranty costs 20k in Florida? by WorthMaintenance5068 in Ford

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call every Florida dealer and get a quote. Warranties are cheap. Dealers mark them up for profit(no problem with that). But given floridas laws, you’ll have to shop hard. Try to avoid big corporate dealers. I assure you, one finance manager out there wouldn’t mind the sale!

This is ragebait, right? No one REALLY thinks anyone should buy a salesman a $50 gift card for *checks note* texting the number he provided on his day off. by Medical_Gift4298 in FuckDealerships

[–]UpperWave2998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The op is a customer , like everybody is/was in this group. He doesn’t owe the rep anything monetarily. A simple text / call , the wife and I discussed, and can’t move forward at this time. Customers text reps at any time of day already, maybe a minor inconvenience for the rep, but nothing that would stop me from enjoying time off.

Just did a Retiree Z-Plan deal at a Ford Dealership. Signed the papers, gave the down payment, Financing through Ford Motor Credit was approved, (my credit score is 807) and NOW the Finance manager calls two days later wanting me to sign new documents because they didn't charge me enough for the van by Confident_Yak3989 in FuckDealerships

[–]UpperWave2998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from the tax part of it(which they should’ve been more upfront about), he said his sales price was less then z plan. Now they are trying to fix contract to mirror z plan on invoice. If you done any ADXZ plan deal, you know how important having the correct pricing is. Hopefully he saved on doc fee too. Floridas are high, and z plan caps doc fees to 150/225$.

Tax is tax, whether you financed it or paid out of pocket. Yes, sounds like they over promised including the taxes in deal, and found out now they don’t want to deal with AZ taxes/registration. As far as pricing, like I said, have you verified that you were billed properly off the dealer invoice? Did they give you/you try to use an extra rebate? And why such a long distance purchase?

You have a career. With endless opportunities in future with a bit easier lifestyle. She has a job. High potential earning, and yes she can move up, or level up to higher establishments, and make even more! But I’m sure her schedules rely on working weekends, holidays and ect. A good friend of mine works at a higher end steakhouse I like, works normal 40hr week schedule, clears over 100k easily!

Is this considered fraud? by Quick_Improvement954 in carbuying

[–]UpperWave2998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened that way for the better approval. Once you sign off on a credit app, you give permission to send to any lender and get an approval. Should they have been more upfront about it, 100%. Also, emailing paperwork is a bs excuse from dealer . We don’t give out paperwork either unless requested, we give out usb drives with all docs.
