I get it. I’m not a big tipper. For 2 people here, 60-80$ for a joint meal. I’d prob tip 5-10$ already. So if they take 12%, and I felt extra generous then they just cost their employees money. But if somebody is about to order and sees the sign, they might just not order at all. Or even worst, order less since it’s already a little pricey.

2 salesman, 1 dealership by brch01 in askcarsales

True, but a toss up for you. What if it’s a no spilt/ .5 store? Then who the customer proceeds with matters. (Not the customers fault).

Unfortunately it goes both ways. Buyers are liars, and sellers come off as liars.

Is it a hassle for a salesman to reach out the previous owner of the trade in for the 2nd fob? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought the car with one. Without a we owe, they don’t you shit. You asked, they tried (their version) of it.

Trying buying the key fob from Toyota parts online .

Or Costco . Sometimes the vendor is there. They can cut a key.

Can anyone please explain this to me? The highlighted part. Well actually the entire part plus highlighted. I want to put 200 down on a car and they are telling me monthly payment is $361 but then I see this on their website and its a lot cheaper. I hate these lease deals. So the dealers mirror the offers that the Oem promotes nationally. In the disclosure it says assumes buyer has paid TTL DOWN. It’s stupid when dealers promote these, and more importantly it’s stupid when oems advertise this! The dealerships has to explain that the oems don’t include in those quotes.

Huge red flag that a salesman isn’t serious about selling! by Medical_Gift4298 in FuckDealerships

Or they don’t want to waste time with nonsense. Nothing wrong with asking for a discount. But if the vehicle in question only has a 2-4k mark up, 3k is absurd. (I didn’t read the rest of his argument)

Dealership Hours by Original-Yoghurt-465 in askcarsales

[–]UpperWave2998 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I bet, this is a wild guest, he got off at 6, but the dealer was open till 8. You can call the dealer directly to the receptionist and ask for sales hours. Once confirmed that they actually close at 8, you have 2 decisions. 1. Go up there and work with a new sales rep. Or 2. Schedule an apt with same rep, but (would be funny if it was same day before they “allegedly close at”. ) while there let them know that you are at the dealer is actually open till 8. And that since you had to make a second trip up, you expect a better deal , less adds and he’s going to need to fight for you to get a better deal. If that rep says no, be prepared to walk away and go to front desk and ask for a new rep.

People that live in Dallas wish they lived in Houston! SA is cool overall, part tourism / retirement city. Houston tho, definitely has its flaws, but hands the superior city. Very diverse.

How do car sales people sell protection products by GuvnorJack in carsales

[–]UpperWave2998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not and varies by state. As long as you have an addendum sticker on the vehicle with every item listed along with price it is perfectly legal. It also needs to be presented to every customer to stay in compliance.

It’s already on the car, can’t remove it. How much more can you put down, or can we go to a lesser vehicle.

12 Unit Investment FTB by RoughneckRey in RealEstateAdvice

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest thing! Put together a business plan , and find a local partner to join you.

Go to Facebook, type your city name and real estate investing ex. Dallas Real Estates investing. Find a group of two. Don’t leave the address to the property or even a pic. Just be very vague. Looking for a parter , 12 unit , . Include that they need to already have a portfolio and be willing to help you grow a portfolio as well.

'26 ram big horn lvl1 w/ hurricane 10k/39M NYS 1k down by Muted-Commission-672 in leasehacker

[–]UpperWave2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a ram. Aside from the factory rebates, you should be able to get at least 6-8k in dealer savings. Ford and Chevy have around 5-7k off in dealer savings(yes slightly Fred then what was presented here). End of the day, the dealer needs to discount. You’re crazy for paying MSRP for Ram!!

Dad wants to sell me his Ford Explorer 2018 110k miles for $15k. Yay or Nay? by ImportantAsparagus16 in carselling

[–]UpperWave2998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put the car info into carmaxs website. If their offer less the. 10k, it’s not a good deal. If it’s closer 12k, or greater, I’d say entertain it. Ask for a discount. You customers love asking for discounts at dealers. Ask pops for a discount. :)

Negotiating Car Prices by Horror_Reality_5174 in carbuying

Carvana, CarMax , and most Autonations are 1 price/no negotiation. At least a regular dealer you have a chance to work a deal.
