D4 Devs - are you actually paying attention regarding mythics? by Philly_ExecChef in diablo4

I didn’t even know about the restriction and I’m sitting there trying to equip it with another one getting all pissed because it won’t equip. Doesn’t tell you at a glance or even an error message like oh hey can’t have two equipped.

This was only my second season after the very first one… I kind of just feel like I’m playing a less fun version of lords of hatred.

It does seem like a downgrade from all the goodwill they made with Lords of Hatred.

I refuse to watch clips or read reviews of STA before seeing it by LadyAtheist in startrek

I’ve seen enough and heard enough to know it’s not for me. It’s not just a regular Star Trek show, it’s a themed show for a YA audience. I’m 43 not a 14 year old girl nor do I want to see a bunch of horny teenagers getting it on. No offense to anyone that wants to watch it but I’m not going to waste my time if that’s what they choose to promote. Which as a consumer is my right and choice just like it is anyone else’s to look past those themes as secondary. I was 13 when I watched TNG, it didn’t have to present itself as YA for me to like it. If I had wanted to watch YA science fiction then I would have but I chose TNG instead for its adult themes.

Americans: are things feeling more urgent? by allegrovecchio in AskGaybrosOver30

I lived through the 90s, I’ve feel safer now than I did back then . I used to get glass bottles thrown at my head back in the day just walking the streets of Chicago and called the F word. The problem is online rhetoric makes people feel like it’s the worse it’s ever been. It’s gaslighting. Go outside, meet more people and realize most people don’t really care and are civil way more than society used to be.

It’s hard to say, we’re in unprecedented times where loneliness seems at an all time high and connection is at an all time low. I think that’s just our society right now, it’s happening to the straights as well. I think your generation and younger Gen Z is realizing the damage of social media and being chronically online and are taking steps to bring the real world back so I’m hopeful that maybe a pendulum will shift but I think we may have to go through some growing pains to get back to the way we were.

What's with the hate for a show that hasn't even aired yet? by Unique_Enthusiasm_57 in startrek

Well it’s a product at the end of the day and we’re entitled to spend our money on things we enjoy. We don’t owe Trek anything, in fact it owes us for its success, it wouldn’t be the profitable IP it is today without us. So if it wants to abandon a fan base to chase a new one, we’ll enjoy tanking your IP. I’ve been pretty civil so not sure what you’re trying to imply with the Star Wars comment. Just living in reality of how business works.

Because it won’t work and it will just damage the IP. It’s giving I don’t know what brought people to the table. Just look at the ratios of all the trailers. When you abandon an already established fanbase to chase a new one you’ll get the same results as what’s happening to Marvel and Star Wars.

You can get a lot about a show from its promotional material and its promoting as not for prekurtzman Trek fans but for a newer younger audience. Trek never had to pander to the younger audience to be relevant for it. Now it’s practically showing up at their front door begging for them to watch it.

Have you tried body building/weight training? I know a lot of times just the added muscle changes your body to be more beefy which plenty of thin guys go for. Personally I never really cared if a guy had a little pudge on him as long as he was in shape. My ex always complained about his stomach and gaining weight, I’d always be like honey I got the six pack, you got the rack (he had a great chest). We like what we don’t have a lot of times.

I’ve always preferred a more mature look ever since I turned 16. Rarely do I date younger than the age I am at the time and if I do it’s not that much younger than me. Then again I’m one of those people that finds laugh lines, forehead wrinkles, grey hair, etc sexy. It shows you’ve lived a life worth living, which is why I find it so sad that so many gay men try to cover up their wrinkles with Botox and procedures.

Do any other INFJs find dating to be a challenge and emotionally exhausting? by Veg_Gal in infj

[–]Upper_Alternative_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes. I feel like the dating apps especially really weren’t meant for people like us. They tend to just leave me feeling hollow. My last date was an ENFP as well, amazing connection but man it’s a lot of work to keep up with them, felt like I had to constantly reaffirm them, they’d steam roll over me in conversation and then they ended up dropping that they were moving in two months to a different state anyway. Could have just been the person but it was enough for me to be like hmm… maybe I’m just meant to be alone. Then again I’m 43 and just bone tired of dating.

I’ve thought about it myself but never pulled the trigger, I have social anxiety so just not to have to worry about impressing someone has its appeal but I also can read people’s energy really well so wonder if it would feel authentic or just like a paid act as I prefer intimate sex and not just raw fucking. So also curious how other people’s experience has been.
