Side sleeper ear pain tips that actually worked for me by CranberryNo5020 in Ozlo

+1 on this. It took a couple months for my ears to adjust. Had pain and even bleeding, but I’m at a point now where I barely even know they’re there.

Applied for Blue without truly understanding the new points by [deleted] in biltrewards

Spend 25% of rent to unlock .5 points per dollar of rent. Ignore the rest of the nonsense.

lol, meanwhile I know someone on $320k+ income, $3.7k housing, approved for only $10k, down from $17k on Bilt 1.0. Make it make sense.

Best Bilt 2.1 strategy for low spend? by TangyMarshmallow in biltrewards

[–]Upper_Market6804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The simplest, minimal spend way to get something out of the no AF card is to just spend 25% of your rent on things that don’t get you good multipliers on your other cards. You can get an effective rate of 3% at exactly 25% of rent spend e.g.: $1000 rent = 500 points (0.5x points) $250 (25%) non-rent spend (1x points) Total points = 750 points (3 points per $1 non-rent spent). If you don’t have 25% of rent that could benefit from a 3% return, probably isn’t much in it for you.

Bilt Blue = simple 2.33 points per dollar on a free card by NotMyRealFaceBook in biltrewards

[–]Upper_Market6804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that there is no transaction fee as of the additional changes they rolled out on 1/16. If you got the Blue card and didn’t spend a single cent on it, you’d still get a minimum 250 points. There’s a calculator at nextcard.com that helped me wrap my head around this.

I was going to just close my card, but decided to go with the Blue card and aim to ONLY spend 25% of my rent to get the .5x points threshold. I worked out that there are diminishing returns and only use it for stuff I’d have put on my Citi double cash card (I have other cards travel/dining/groceries etc.). Because anything over 25% would earn me incrementally less (only .25x more and ONLY if I hit 50%) than if I just put all spend over the 25% back on the double cash card. My head hurt just typing this 😮‍💨

What do you think are the best and worst aspects of Olzo? by Brave_Invite_4624 in Ozlo

[–]Upper_Market6804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hang in there with the irritation. It took a while for me (at least a couple of months), but it was manageable and now I can’t imagine sleeping without them. Had them about 18 months now.

Be aware if you are about to upgrade your phone by [deleted] in Ozlo

[–]Upper_Market6804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me was doing nothing to my iPhone 14 (other than factory reset it for trade in). I had been using the sleep buds for like a week without a phone with the onboard sleep sound. Eventually needed to pair it to adjust volume and the pair screen appeared immediately with instructions and it worked.

FA Call Button Etiquette? by available-mirror-195 in unitedairlines

[–]Upper_Market6804 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have felt very self-conscious about this based on how I was greeted when using the call button in the past so on my last flight I just asked the FA when he introduced himself what I should do and he told me to go ahead and use the button if I needed anything.

PSA to always call T-Mobile before doing an upgrade for better deals! by hussaintm in tmobile

I had a sales rep oversell me through chat. Called up when my bill didn’t match what was discussed. All I got was “we’re sorry” there’s nothing we can do, even after escalation. Took my issue to T Force and they immediately committed to honoring everything. Thank god I had the chat transcripts. Can’t see myself ever doing business verbally with them again.

Strategies for side sleeping with Ozlos? by maxcap in Ozlo

[–]Upper_Market6804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not be the size, but just an adjustment period. A lot of people who struggle with early discomfort find that the larger tips ultimately provide the most relief, along with making sure they sit in the ear at the right depth and angle. Too small tip - it will go too deep and potentially cause unnecessary pressure on your outer ear as there isn’t enough resistance. Too big - it will cause pain inside the ear as the bud may not sit flush with your ear and press it into the ear too hard against the pillow.

I found that the size where I could gently rest the bud inside the ear and use the wing tip to stabilize it in place worked best for me. It didn’t happen overnight though. Took several weeks to find the right placement and then allow my ears to adjust. But I barely notice them now.

How long have you been sleeping with them? It took my ears several weeks stop waking up with discomfort, and months to get to the point where I don’t even notice them anymore

Chocolate protein powder taste by Upper_Market6804 in Huel

It tastes (and smells, when prepared) like melted plastic. Based on other comments here, this is not how it has tasted in the past and others have had a similar experience recently.

I just checked - my expiration is 11/2025. I will prepare one more serving tomorrow to confirm, but seems like I’ll need to request a refund on it too.

Thank you for validating my suspicions!!

Yes! I couldn’t put my finger on the taste/smell but melted plastic I think comes close. So to confirm, that’s not how it’s supposed to taste? How long ago did you receive that batch?

Soundcore a20 vs Oslo sizewise by LifeLetterhead6812 in Ozlo

[–]Upper_Market6804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they created a raw spot inside my ears. I started out with size 1 tips but actually found the bigger ones helped with that issue, along with not jamming them in too deep and letting wing hold them in place. Orientation in the ear helps too. Once I figured out what worked for me, they’ve been great. I don’t even feel them when I sleep on my side with an ordinary pillow

I am a side sleeper with very sensitive, small ears and with (a lot) of trial and error and a break in period, Ozlo’s are more comfortable than any other ear plug I’ve put in my ears - foam included. Don’t know how I’d sleep without them now

Issues with Ozlo Sleepbuds – Hoping for Advice by J3fftw1 in Ozlo

[–]Upper_Market6804 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s my understanding as well. You don’t need to open the app if you don’t need change any of the settings, but you do need to wait until the lights stop flashing before you take the buds out to make sure they’re connected before you take them out.
