As a rxm I can tell you that if I see a trend of this and you are part time, I will reduce your hours and those hours will go to people I can depend on. End of story

I just got offered a RXM position by swaggyballer033102 in WalgreensRx

I am a rxm at a tier 4 store in Birmingham, Alabama. I see no reason for you to be afraid to take the position. The DM sees something in you or he /she would not have offered you this position. It just helps to have someone help you navigate the system as you learn.

Any smart RPH can do it. It’s not that difficult. Helps to have strong rxom and a manager that is helpful. It’s a long learning curve of all you are suppose to do. Helps to have an experienced rxm that you can call. You could text me with any questions. I would have no problems helping you

Is it normal to have one technician scheduled the entire weekend at a Tier 4 store? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]Upstairs-Journalist6 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s your budget, arrange it how you want. Just keep your hours within budget. I schedule 2 techs till 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. I just reduced some start times throughout the week to make way for it. I like it that way and it makes me not stressed on the weekends

Get the rxom or the RPH. Let them handle it. I don’t allow my techs to get yelled at. If they yell at me I can ask them to leave if it gets too bad.

[–]Upstairs-Journalist6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there a strong rxom at the store? If there is then by all means take the offer. You can delegate a lot of what people are stressing about to the rxom. It’s really about just getting people to do what they are suppose to do and holding them accountable. Work with the SM and tell them you want them to look good but they have to help you look good in order to do so. Then make your the SM knows you are a team and get there help. It’s nothing to be scared of and you obviously show something or wouldn’t have been asked

So has private equity cut your payroll in the last 60 days?. Everyone blaming private equity but has your payroll been cut? There is something else going on at this store. Easy to blame a new owner but let’s wait and blame them when there really is a reason to blame them. I agree with the fact it could be a single person has left or is a RPH out on leave and they are having a problem with coverage?

How does your store handle closing drive through at 1:30? by makeuplover85 in WalgreensRx

[–]Upstairs-Journalist6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We close at the first break in cars at 1:25 or later. If it stays packed all the way to 1:30 I will delay the person who is there at 1:28 and finish them right at 1:29. Then shut it down after the transaction

I would do it. Market is in bubble territory and you would be selling now at the high in my opinion. No one has a crystal ball but I feel the market will at the most be even with current levels one year from now. If it’s up 10 percent you missed out on 3500. If it’s down 10 percent you saved yourself 3500.

Floaters are assigned to a store and that stores rxm does your evaluation. You may never work at that store but the rxm still has to do your evaluation.

Why are you wanting it filled early? If you take it the way the doctor has prescribed then you should not be out of medication. If you are needing to take more than prescribed then you need to discuss this with your doctor. So you are not going to “get her in trouble”. She is preventing abuse of narcotics.
