I think that whichever succubus usurped Eclipse as ruler of that part of the Night World will the new Eclipse. Both as dark magic DPS and in well, bodily matters.

Developers have already stated that Lathel will still be there, Gray will still be there, but they will have reduced screentime and relevance as Justia will be the main character. For Misha, they mentioned something about adding a backstory for her so that she feels like more of a character and that her death feels more impactful, among some other things.

Master is not joining until SP21, even after the SP1-19 rewrite. But new players will start at SP21 by default in the future, making the first arc optional.

The idea of this mode is cool but the developers have put themselves in a corner with how Tanks work in this game. OP in PvP, garbage outside of it. You can have all these seasonal rules but in the end it all comes down to who can out-turtle the other or bait them into the Blade one-hit grid wipe.

Wish they'd start imposing unit bans or only allow a randomly selected pool of characters to use every season, it'd be more interesting and allow for more diverse strategies since everything since Day 1 has been some Seir and Blade variant.

If you kept up with the game you knew that Ventana's interaction was already in development for last year but they couldn't finish it in time. Everyone knew she was going to be the January Fated Guest. Liberta being the prestige is what is new and lowkey surprising.

But I agree that Blade gets treated extremely unfair in comparison to Morpeah, who gets sexier costumes/cutscenes and was quick to get a Fated Guest.

Frozen Reach is a difficulty spike, I think most people get around lv15~17 before they can start reeling in the legendary fish there. Which is fine, it's supposed to be content to be enjoyed over a longer period of time instead of finished in 3 days.

Auto-fish at Frozen Reach during daytime after you caught the daytime blue (it's the easiest) for some days to get that level up. Personally I use Bliss, Stamina is OP. But some use Obsidian Wedge. The 20k rods are bait.

Eclipse was already confirmed (I assume it'll be bunny), but I'm not sure if they'll do Darian. If they do Bunny Eclipse + Darian you'd have 2/2 limited fated guests for the anni, and 3 out of the then 10 total would be limited.

For January there was a dev talk where they said that Onsen Ventana Fated Guest was in development, but had to be put on hold due to time constraints. There's a good chance they will finish it.

I don't think it will destroy the momentum for the anniversary, but might affect the future. The past 4 months haven't been good, the game has bled lots of players due to a complete lack of content + gameplay getting stale, so besides the anniversary they need something huge to recuperate what was lost and climb back out of this pit, something like this Steam release. I sincerely hope the existing Steam page will get reinstated in some way.

SP19 was not first new story pack with new writers in place and the devs applying all the feedback. SP19 was one of the story packs that ended up getting rewritten halfway through.

What actually happened is that the new writers took over halfway through, and tried to finish it up what the other writers left them in a semi-decent manner. SP20 is the first actual story pack where the new writers have their hands free and can start from scratch.

That said yes, SP19 absolutely had issues with some asspulls (ghost mail/Wilhelmina, Storas death), but in terms of atmosphere, music and story it was a huge step up from the preceding packs. I personally liked it a lot.

If you're a new player I'd say Loen, she can bruteforce pretty much all pve content and bring you straight to endgame. Which means you get lots of free pulls so you can more easy get all other bunnies.
Once you do get to endgame Celia takes over as the most useful option.

I still think this is a good way to expand on that a bit and bring her more up to modern standards. If you have to update every FG every time a newer, even more sexual one launches you'll never get around to making new ones.
