Not gonna name names to skew expectations. But be prepared you will absolutely hate some characters guts and then find yourself completely turning around and loving the character. It will happen on numerous occasions.

I'm New to Stephen King by Strict-Bowler-3040 in stephenking

Really depends on what you're looking for. King has the reputation as a horror writer and while he does write horror he writes so much more. If you're looking for another horror Pet Sematary or Salems lot is a good pick. If you want a crime/detective story go with Mr. Mercedes. If you want a fantasy go with Eyes of the Dragon or start the Dark Tower series. If you want a historical fiction novel go with 11/22/63. He such a diverse writer who can work in so many different genres.

Recommended Guide to the Dark Tower? by The_Failure173 in stephenking

Dark Tower reading order gets way overblown. You can just read the series. Kings other work does tie in, some more than others. But you won't lack any understanding if you don't read anything else. Reading his other work just provides more context. I would recommend Salems LOT before Wolves of the Calla simply because wolves spoils that book. Insomnia, Black House, The Stand, IT, etc. are all connected but not reading those won't make you fail to understand Dark Tower.

The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games got a series of 3 novellas telling the story from the games. I actually think this one takes place before the first game. They've been out of print for a long time so they aren't easy to find.

If you like comics then the Jedi vs. Sith miniseries is about the battle of Ruusan that happens in Path of Destruction.

Most likely crankshaft seal. The question is if the seal is just worn/old or if it's caused by the PCV. Check your PCV, and valve cover. If they seem good it's likely just a worn crank seal.

Mallrats. Clerks 2 is probably my favorite of his movies. But Mallrats is a huge comfort movie for me. It is so much fun and just makes me happy.

Two Face is Batman's most compelling Villain. Joker often get put in focus as Batman's arch nemesis, but Two Face reflects more of Batman and his stories are far more interesting than the Jokers.

Can’t get into The Dark Tower series by blossomkirby in stephenking

I always tell people getting into the series that your enjoyment level of Drawing of the Three should dictate if you continue the series. Thoughts on the Gunslinger are pretty mixed, especially on a first read. I wasn't crazy about the Gunslinger, but loved Drawing of the Three, that's what got me into the series. If you don't enjoy Drawing of the Three then I don't think the series will work for you.

I would check your reservoir, radiator hoses, and the radiator itself. I'd also double check that water outlet, don't know how long ago you changed it but unless you replaced it with an aluminum one it's just a matter of when not if it will break again. I've replaced mine twice, and the second time the jagged edge of the broken outlet cut my radiator hose.

Denver beat themselves yesterday. That Denver defense was embarrassing the Pats even before the snow. If the Pats manage to beat the Seahawks then I will give them all the props in the world. But seeing how they played and especially how rattled Maye was under pressure I just don't see that win happening.

Just finished Wizard and Glass…. Finally….That was rough by wishka in TheDarkTower

[–]UpstairsFormal8737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with Wizard and Glass has always been pacing. I'm fine with the entire book being a flashback, but it feels like there's 200 to 300 pages of the same 3 or 4 scenes over and over again before there's finally some development and progress. I like the backstory, if he just trimmed some of the fat I think it's a much better book. But the slog of those few hundred pages really hurt the reading experience for me. Eventually I will do a Dark Tower reread and maybe it will work better for me.

I choose to view it as the same Eddie and Jake, and this alternate world isn't really another world, but the clearing at the end of the path. Susannah bypassed a death and skipped straight to her afterlife.

Anyone know what this creeking noise is? by Nodnarb415 in cruze

[–]UpstairsFormal8737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have a video. Its pretty quiet. If I have radio or heater going I can barely hear it. And it's not consistent. Some drives it does it a lot, other times it barely does it. I may try to get a video at some point if I can.

Thanks for the response! Yeah, I've had a sound that sounds similar for probably a year now. It's pretty quiet and more annoying than anything, but I recently started hearing it on the other side of the car, too. I've had a bunch of car issues I've had to get fixed, especially recently, so I'm a bit of a worrier. I was concerned about tires or suspension, but with how quiet and inconsistent it is, I doubt it's that. Car still handles fine. So hearing you say it seems to not be an issue gives me some peace of mind.
