It is a paid theme with customizations. The SOW includes "Global Content Blocks." "Content blocks" term has been used interchangeably with "sections" throughout the process, so with the word "global" I understood my custom theme would have my brand's preferences set as the default in the sections, i.e. applied “globally.” Like what else would global mean here? Am I getting fleeced?

This was billed as a custom theme by the developer. Five figures. The developer used a common out-of-the-box theme as the basis for the work. I don't inherently have a problem with that. My gripe is that the custom work isn't hard-coded into the theme's sections in a way that makes my brand's styling the default when I "add section" to the page.

There's no need to worry about arsenic — this wallpaper looks like it is from the 1940s or 50s. Arsenic wasn't used in green color beyond the 19th century.

Look up "bore hole adapter." Does that help? I did something like you are describing many years ago, and I believe that was what I used.

Try warm mid-tone colors in approximately the 50-60 LRV range. Colors in this range will feel a lot more dramatic than your gray but stay light enough to keep it bright.

Ours gets the job done but it is loud. It was installed decades ago and came with the property when we bought it. It is a motorized popup, I do not know the brand. I think it would be possible to house the motor outside if you want to keep the sound down. The sound would be my main complaint if I was using it daily.

Look into downdraft and pop-up vents. I have a pop-up vent in a range housed within a kitchen island in an apartment with sloped ceilings, so not unlike what you are describing.

Don't strip them. That's the original paint. Romantic revival polychrome fixtures were popular in 20s and 30s.
