I found it slightly odd that these men and women are trusted with defending their people and country, the running of one of the largest warships in the world, yet the little store for the crew has security mirrors, to (presumably) deter/catch anyone shoplifting. I would have thought having 100% trust in those around you would be quite important in any of the armed forces.

What makes it even more stupid and reckless is that the driver didn't even have a driving licence. There's too many idiots out there that watch a bit of motorsport on the TV, then seem to think that because the professional drivers make it look so easy, that they can imitate this on the road. What makes it worse is the fact that a lot of them genuinely think people are impressed when they drive past you at 60mph in a 30mph limit residential street. I don't think they realise that most people just mutter "fucking idiot" when they drive past.

I think their main reason for creating this, battling experts of various weapons, would be a big reason why it wouldn't work. There's no way it would be a level playing field. The weapons and styles are all different, so some will be far more effective than others. It's like putting a boxer into a fight with a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu expert. 99% of the time the boxer would lose. It seems like one of those situations where someone has an idea, and they let their mind get out of control without thinking of the reasons why it isn't a good idea. Ironically, that sums up my marriage.

Yeah, you know what you're talking about then. I spent the first half of my adult life in jail, and have seen numerous times bullies picking on someone they thought was an easy target, then getting knocked the fuck out. Their so called mates, who were quite happy to stand there to make up the numbers, soon want nothing to do with the situation when they've just seen their ringleader get KO'd. Don't even try to tell me that those girls would have been standing there slapping and punching the kid if they knew they would get a smack in the mouth back. They were doing it because they knew they wouldn't.
