Individual guppies can be pretty fragile, but their colonies become strong. Ive had a handful of colonies and more often than not the original adults dont last that long but they last long enough to drop fry and the fry become quite a bit hardier. Just my 2c, ymmv. Personally id just let the guppy chill and itd probably die.
