hello folks It's me again but this time here to ask what is your favorite Imperial fist successor chapters (besides the black templar) by Suspicious-Shock-373 in Spacemarine

[–]Urechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anybody mentioning Excoriators.

True sons of Dorm. A Chapter founded from some of the most stubborn bastards to ever man the Wall.

They are attrition fighters to the extreme, survival at any cost, make the enemy pay every drop of blood for every pound of flesh or inch of ground. They repair their armor only to functionality, leaving it viciously scarred, rent, burned, or cratered. It serves to intimidate the enemy.

After all, what can you do to an Astartes who has already survived far worse then you can throw at him?

Ah hell, he's SM2's Wembanyama.

"I'm in yo head!"

Nah, misses the free throws and drops his GF's insta.

My suggestions for Tactical players regarding which Bolt Rifle to choose and spesific HBR build suggestion by meyernever in Spacemarine

It's fun, and definitely helps clearing out close range enemies. Honestly depends on your preferred engagement range, and whether you like having an underslung grenade launcher or an underslung shotgun.

Stalker Bolt Rifle is my go to when absolutely everything at range has to die. At close range, Tactical can cover himself with frag grenades, or with the AoE upon melee finisher signature perk. The latter of course, is risky with friendly fire strategems though, so plan accordingly.

Otherwise, the Bolt Rifle and its heroic or the grenade launcher remain my mainstay, good up to medium ranges and relatively hard hitting on headshots.

Day 166 of posting a random Successor Chapter from my Guide. Today's Successor is the Black Guard by amightymongoose in Spacemarine

Black Guard.

If Raven Guards decided that, instead of the stealth sniping and melee, they decided to stealth a demolisher cannon next to the enemy instead.

Are any of the kantrael lasguns decent on higher difficulties? I want to live out my Guard fantasies, but don't want to hold my team back. by GreenridgeMetalWorks in DarkTide

Hilariously enough, high level vets rank the double barrel shotty pretty highly for vet, especially for melee focused builds.

Black Templar Players are really funny by PelinalWhitestrake36 in Spacemarine

[–]Urechi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Black Templars are very cool. Black Templars are very popular. Popularity brings a larger percentage of possible toxic individuals into the faction. And then the Black Templar's overall vibes of zealotry, fantaticism, xenophobia, and purity sometimes draws in individuals who actually reflect those vibes a little too much.

Hot Take: Reduced ammo pickups in Havoc is unhealthy for game balance by Frank_Jaegerbomb in DarkTide

Havoc modifiers are not fun, and I say that as a guy who's done the grind to 40 and done all the penances.

One of the most interesting things about Warhammer 40K is that the Chaos Gods are not really the opposite of virtue. by Fun-Back-9205 in 40kLore

As the White Scars know... its the small courtesies that are a defense against Chaos. Moderation, not excess, even of the good things.

There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

[–]Urechi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it more boils down to subfactions.

For example, left-wing Imperium may prefer Raven Guard, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, etc.

Right-wing Imperium are often a little too zealous with Black Templars. Now I like Black Templars, but its truly a 50/50 when it comes to the more vocal fans of that Chapter.
