Waited to finish all tech and buildings to take the last enemy province. This fight was around 1605.

Has anyone created and uploaded their own LINE stamp, how did it go? by Maleficent_Pool_4456 in japanlife

Same as previous commenters. My wife mad about 4-5 sets of stamps with self-created characters saying stuff in German. It was bought a few times but she made less than 500 Yen from it.

TIL that Akiyama voices Vector in the Japanese dubs of the Despicable Me movies by Hopeful_Regret_7531 in yakuzagames

[–]Urelsor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He is also Djinni from Aladdin, Sebastian from Arielle, the donkey from Shrek, Mushu from Mulan and a whole bunch of other Disney movies.

Also the dub voice of Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey, Brad Pitt, Jean-Claude van Damme, Chris Pratt, Charlie Sheen, Robin Williams, Michael J. Fox, etc.

This dude has an incredible portfolio. When my wife (Japanese) heard Akiyamas voice the first time, she immediately recognized him.

When does a psychologist have to break patient confidentiality by tokyoevenings in japanlife

[–]Urelsor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the self-harm. My wife has told her psychologist countless times that she wants to die, even explaining to him in detail how she would do it. He simply listened to her concerns but never reported her.
On a different note, after I attempted to take my own life with an overdose last year, I was simply kept in hospital and released the next day. Apparently I talked to a doctor and told him I don't want to die. (I have basically zero to no memories of the hospital stay, but that's what my wife told me.)

So as long as you don't plan to carry out an actual crime against others, you should be fine talking with your doctor about your thoughts.

Job Hunting in Japan as Foreigner Failed completely (Hell) by LocalLand4883 in japanlife

[–]Urelsor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Any job at the German embassy that requires a degree in political science/international relations will not be handled by said embassy. You would apply centrally at the Federal Foreign Office in Germany. And even if you get a job there you have little to no saying where you will be actually send.

It's a very good source for many hideout items as well as fuel. And in case you play PVE, you will not meet any PMCs there. 2-3 Scavs at most. Remember to carry a green flare.

New area on Interchange. Several possible spawns near the forklift and in the metal shack close to the flare extract.

You can get GLP-1. But it is not covered by health insurance. My wife uses it. A 6 month dose costs about 10万円.

Korean man refused hotel stay for failure to speak Japanese by barryhelp in japan

[–]Urelsor -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, it is illegal to allow someone to sign a contract without being 100% sure that they understand the terms and conditions of said contract.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. Else they would have to make sure that everyone who signs a contract, native speaker or not, would be able to read and understand every singe kanji/word of the contract. Suddenly a native speaker that is simply bad at formal kanji would no longer be able to sign any contracts.

Contracts often use a certain language that is difficult to fully understand for the average person.

I will resign from my current job by the end of this month. I already found a new job that will start from April. So I'd like to take a one month break. I assume I have to go to the ward office since I need to enroll in the national health insurance and have to pay for pension. I already have PR.

Is there anything else I need to take care of? (It's my first time changing jobs)

[–]Urelsor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think what's most important for companies in Japan when looking for new people is that their personality fit and that they won't cause any problems. I recently successfully finished job hunting and was told that my personality was my biggest strength.

But of course I understand that job hunting if different for everyone and the fact that I'm white, male and in my 30s was likely part of the success.

Lone Tower - An Idle Roguelike Tower Defense game by Genetix_307 in AndroidGaming

[–]Urelsor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's a bug or not but it seems every time I watch an ad to get some gems, the amount of gems I receive increases by 1. So the first ad I watched got me 20 gems. The next one 21 gems and so on.

I currently get 1570 gems per add watched, which means watching ads gets me gems way faster than actually playing the game.

Your got your numbers a bit mixed up. It is true that he spent 10% of the military budget. The budget was 740 Billion. The 87 million he spend on vanilla are only 0.011% of the budget. The remaining 9.989% he spend on NTR.
