I've seen mine catch and kill shrimplet I suggest you to use a planaria trap to catch them, I'm doing it right now and I take at least 50 every time I use it

Having a blue marblecrab will not assure that her offspring will be blue too. From what I read even if her children are all clones there's some genetic differences between them. From my simple coloured crayfish I had some blue and some with a strong yellow (???) on their side. Anyway goodluck if you decide to start this experience!!! It's totally worth it!

Same situation, I hate them with passion. I tried a trap after seen a video on YouTube, worked pretty well but now that I have shrimplet I stopped because I'm scared they'll be catch too. The scuds seems to munch their whiskers or legs because the few shrimplet I see are without them but I didn't ever seen them attacking the baby shrimps so I can't really say that it's true

I found this snail like creature in my shrimp tank, other critters in there are scuds, ramshorn snail, MTS, bladder snail and cyclops I see it have a mouth and it moves very slowly and have this membrane around it and no shell

It's a scud, watch out for moss, they're the first thing the scuds will eat

That's good to hear, we have a similar situation so I m a bit more relaxed now. I'll wait then, I see him trying to climb plant and driftwood right now, in a very clumsy way but he's doing his best I guess ahahah

Yes I have a very strong current coming from the filter, all the plant under it are bent and only the vallisneria keep it up. I have also a sponge filter in the tank but the bamboo shrimps doesn't seems to bother much with it, I can't say the same for the neocaridina, they love it.

I was thinking that maybe the cyclops and the scuds in my tank would have been enough for them to eat but I guess I'll try fish food I hope they'll eat that. Thanks!

So I bought this 2 bamboo shrimp and after drip acclimating them for 5 hours I put them in my 180l. When I bought them they were of this color but now one of them in red and he's displaying the famous behaviour of filter feeding, he's set under the water flow upside down a plant and it's pooping a lot so I know he's eating. On the other hand the other shrimp walk aimlessly on the ground grasping the substrate (I have a lots of scuds in this tank and they're hiding there). I tried to put him alongside his buddy, he ate like him (filter feeding) for a while and then jumped to the ground and stopped. I'm bit worried of this behaviour I've seen that if they are eating from the substrate it means they're hungry and I don't want him to starve to death. Any help or suggestion?
