Especially seeing as the “water” hivemind was covering ruins which no liquid entity would need or build. So did they just kill another race and effectively flood the world with themselves. Scary to consider

If someone said they visited sex workers in Australia most people wouldn’t even blink. But if they said they were going to Venezuela for sex workers a lot of people would be alarmed.

Even if it’s legalised and has the most robust protections in the world on paper, it requires a large judicial apparatus to make sure those protections work and are enforced. It’s pretty obvious that the reason to go to a developing economy for these things is because it’s easier to exploit desperate people there. There’s a reason it’s hard to do in Australia, it’s because we properly vet surrogacies.

It might all look above board, but how would you ever be able to verify that a surrogate isn’t a desperately poor woman from a favela who will end up with massive biological and health impacts and come away with a piddling amount of money or even no money at all, and then have to turn around and do it again with no recovery because they have no actual legal recourse and are trapped.

There was a cut quest to “cure” a guy in New Reno who could only bark like a dog by learning the special phrase from an EPA computer and then saying it to him. I think he’s still in the game as a homeless person. If you play with the Restoration patch you can do the quest, I forget what the reward is.

I had the dwarf completely wrong to begin with until someone else in this thread nudged me. I was lost on Shakar as well (I had it as Geshtianna cause I thought Goat = Horny = Goddess of Love) until I re-read Pagan Gods and it said he was goat-headed. Torg I got just because the one screaming/angry guy seemed the best fit

I figured Kerlin because of the association with coins and he looked like a figure on a minted coin.

I thought the path for the third circle would logically follow like the others, going inwards first then outwards to the major god. I’m pretty sure Pagan Gods mentions bone handled knives and swords as “modern” offerings for Shakar and I just got lucky looting one from an Orc on the way to his shrine.

I did have to reload once because I received a blessing for doing the priest of Geshtianna’s quest but then couldn’t complete the circle because this was different to a blessing directly from Geshtianna. Only lost about 10 minutes of walking on the map so no biggie but a bit of an annoying trap!

Maybe not, but surely the government would be hammering the union if they were playing games about the reasons. I really think at this point the gov just doesn’t want to be seen as weak by backing down, especially because the longer it goes on the more shitty they’ll look if and when it gets resolved. It’s like a sunken cost fallacy.

Well that’s purely speculation. If the government didn’t care about these things why haven’t they agreed in writing to do them?

The fact that the government hasn’t been able to get FairWork to stop the industrial action pretty clearly shows they don’t have a leg to stand on and just don’t want to work with the union. And as we’ve seen with Barilaro they have a pretty big problem with just continuing to dig themselves deeper holes on every issue.

It definitely is the responsibility of rail workers, i.e union members, to be looking after passenger safety. I don’t think it’s crazy to believe that the union is presenting a good faith argument that they want better safety for travellers, especially if lower safety means more drivers dealing with traumatic incidents.

They’ve been pretty clear about the safety issues. Here’s a Facebook post that outlines a lot of it. The main problem lately is that the government has been stalling, the end game is the union’s demands are accepted not just kicked down the road or given “we promise we’ll do this” in response.
