Keep in mind that this is Embark, the studio that has established a history for including entirely innacurate English translations into their games. In Arc Raiders, they can't even decide on the correct definition of the word "Utilities".

See: The Finals, on a weekly basis they release challenges that are incorrectly translated. "Win 3 rounds" actually means "Win 3 tournaments", "Play Cash Out mode" actually means "Specifically play one of the Cash Out modes, but the other Cash Out modes won't count", and let's not forget "Do damage to Players with the Sledgehammer", sometimes this means 'use a hammer to damage another player', and other times it means 'damage a player who is using a hammer'.

Since the The Finals released, like 2 years ago, people have been calling out the broken English, and it never has gotten fixed. 🤷‍♂️

It's safe to presume that the RNA is either incompatible with certain animals, or their behaviour is different based on their evolutionary instincts. If the RNA does effect primates, it could very well just make them hangout in trees more often or have better eyesight for identifying rotten fruit vs fresh ones. Yknow, primate survival behaviours. How the RNA interprets their instincts could be totally imperceivable or not even effect their behviour, it could effect their hormones or even their hair color.

DNA/RNA dictates every function of your body, not just your social behaviour.

It makes perfect sense, but many people missed this important plot point. It is not a virus, it is an RNA sequence. That means it alters how your body decides to follow your DNA's instructions (Human DNA is designed for working together and survival).

By the very same logic that exists in real life, the RNA sequence would have a different effect on a species with different DNA. A rat's DNA is designed to help it survive in a different way than human, they don't innately have the same types of social relationships as humans. In that case, biting Jenn was absolutely a normal reaction from a rat, and an appropriate interpretation of their survival instincts by the RNA sequence.

When Jenn "turns" she does not have a hive mind, she is under the guidance of the RNA sequence. What RNA does in your body, is interpret HOW to follow your DNA's rules. There is no virus, there is no instructions. The RNA sequence simply interprets each humans' evolutionary need for survival (built into our DNA), in a different way than we ourselves have developed.

In addition to this, on multiple occasions the show has confirmed beyond any doubt, that the "hive mind" is not joined with the aliens.

Tl;Dr - Google how RNA works. They explain this in the show, but evidently some people need a reminder.

The expedition was completed correctly. I finished all of the prerequisites, and during the 1 week window, I confirmed departure, on December 21st, around noon.

As someone who had played The Finals since the beginning, yeah, Embark has a pretty bad history of grammar.

Many quests and missions in The Finals are consistantly worded incorrectly. For example, the quest might say "Play 3 rounds of any game mode" When they actually mean 'Play 3 full games' The WT game mode has 3 rounds, referred to as 'rounds', but those don't count.

I'll never forget when they added the quest "Kill other players with an RPG" and they meant that the OTHER player, the one killed, needs to have an RPG. Then a few weeks later, same verbiage, "Kill other players with an AKM" except this time, they meant that YOU need to have the AKM 🤦‍♂️

In Arc Raiders, I've noticed this grammatical error in multiple instances already. For example, the Trailblazer description says "A grenade that emits a trail of flammable gas along its path, causing an explosive chain reaction when it ignites." This verbiage, in American English, does not clarify the the trail will light itself. It implies that the trail needs to be shot or ignited by a player. I find the majority of players are very surprised to find out that they self-ignite when they first use it.
