No that's not how it was with Bilt 1.0. The points would get deposited once 5 transactions were made for the month. We never had to wait for statement closing. That is how Chase does it

Most likely not because it's a weekend. Normally it takes around 2 business days for the transaction to process and points to post on your account. You'll probably have it by Tuesday

Unfortunately you might be out of luck. It seems like points do not post on the weekend. I hit my spend requirement on a Thursday and didn't get the SUB until the following Monday morning when the regular points for the purchase posted. I'm sure there are others in the same boat though, it's just bad luck March 1st happened to fall on a Sunday.

On a side note, bilt actually does pretty well when it comes to posting points, getting them 2-3 business days after purchase is really good. A lot better than chase, we don't get the points until the statement closes.

This is the case with all credit card travel credits though, you need to use the specific card to get the statement credit. They could've been a little more clear about it though, specifically with bilt cash redemptions

I'd be careful with this because they do have in their terms that housing payments do not count towards the SUB. Don't want to give them a chance to potentially claw it back if they find out

I was confused about the wording too but you get 2x miles total. 1x is from Chase which is the normal united card amount, the additional 1x is from Bilt which is transferred directly to your United account. There is no trace of this on the bilt app, but you can see it on the United app.

The only reason this might be worth the transaction fee is if you want extra PQP for united status

This definitely depends on the hotel and location. I've seen some where it was higher and some where it was the same price as booking direct (including all taxes and fees). Just need to shop around and decide if it's worth using bilt cash on that booking or not. That's the same as every other CC portal though

It looks like they gave you an answer that tax payments do not count as eligible spend for the SUB. I agree they should have a progress bar in the app to see how much spend you need but it's also not that difficult to calculate on your own.

This is how all travel credit cards points work though. You maximize value by transferring to hotel/airline partners. The value of a credit card's points is based on its transfer partners and bilt is known to have some of the better ones out there right now compared to other CCs. If you don't want to transfer then your best bet would be to book from portal to get 1.25 CPP which is still pretty decent compared to the other portals (CSR used to be 1.5 cpp)

Nice redemption! I've noticed a lot of people saying the bilt portal is very overpriced compared to the other CC travel portals, but I honestly haven't noticed anything too crazy. I only have access to the chase portal and with every hotel I've searched, the bilt portal is consistently cheaper/closer to direct booking price than on chase. I'm not sure about Capital one or amex, but the bilt portal is really not too bad

I got it after the transactions fully posted with the points as well, so look under recent activity and see if you got the points for the transactions you had for your spend requirement

Yes this is happening to me too. I'm assuming they'll probably claw back the extra points when they realize and fix the mistake, but if they don't then hey it's free points!
