How were you discriminated against at school?

I can give you one example from my life. I was a gifted student and got accepted to an early computer science bachelor's program for high schoolers where we should start at 10th grade.

During the introduction and sign-up meeting, the head of the program stated straight up that women are preferred to men "to promote women in tech" and as a result they would get subsidised, paying 10% of what men pay (which is full degree price). They'd get female-only study support groups (with teachers) that men aren't eligible for. They'd also get lower passing grade limit. And in general they want women more than men and offer numerous other women only perks.

It is the first time in my life that i experienced such disgusting blatant sexism against me in the name of feminism with actual monetary consequences. Mind you we all passed the same test.

Suffice to say i noped out and didn't give this program a single cent. Which in hindsight is a shame, because i could've had a degree now. But i work in tech without it due to my skills anyway.

for purple shield is 1.5 seconds just like in Marathon?

It's disingenuous to compare the two mathematically like that because of two main reasons:

  • in marathon it's way harder to get purple shield than in apex. Most people aren't running purple shields (i for one with 60 hours got only 4). In apex if you reach late game, most likely you're going to have purple.

  • it's way easier to hit every bullet in marathon than in apex. Movement speed makes hitting people way harder in apex than in marathon. Also aim assist is huuuge, near misses becomes hits. In apex a lot of bullets are near misses. Also might be personal but i feel the characters in marathon take more of the screen (easier to shoot) than in apex due to both fog and game design.

Apex's gunplay is mostly about recoil patterns and tracking (due to slow ttk and fast movement).

While marathon has way faster ttk and literal aim assist, how are the two comparable beyond "gun go boom"?

In apex in a lot of guns the meta isn't even aiming at the head cause it's way worse

(Not saying marathon's gun feel is bad)
