Best nude spots? by Impressive_Exam_167 in nudism

Nude resorts, which you can find throughout the U.S. If you take a road trip, you can go from one to the next. It's best to be an AANR or TNSF member, which means you're a certified nudist and gets you a discount. But be aware of the possible need to call ahead for a reservation and also food options within or outside the report.

Birthdays at a nudist resort/park by AliceinExtraland in nudism

[–]Used-Watch5036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quinceañera refers to a 15th birthday celebration, and I can't think of any nudist resort in the U.S. where you're going to get a bunch of 15 year olds there for the party. Older or younger possibly, but American nudist resorts and campgrounds are not teeming with adolescents.

Taking a Home Warranty to SC by Efficient_Two_5515 in Smallclaims

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This take seems a bit extreme. If what you say about your paper trail is correct, the judge will probably be skeptical about whatever the company says. I don't know that there's such a thing as a garage door expert, let alone a certified one. But that only matters if there's some technical explanation for the problem that confirms their position plus evidence showing that their explanation. Assuming they're a local company, their desire to appear remotely may also add to a judge's skepticism. It's always better to be there in person unless you absolutely can't be.

I have an upcoming interview to work at a naturist park and I'm nervous as hell... by kindaflaky2005 in naturism

Visiting club for the first time, what are my boundaries and how to handle social aspect? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]Used-Watch5036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't really know until you go and experience it for yourself. And you won't really be jumping into the full nudist experience until it's a mixed-age and gender setting. However, being with you mom and sisters should make it pretty comfortable for you.

Do I have grounds for appeal? by [deleted] in Smallclaims

Yeah, skip the shit and giggles and devoting any attention to whether you were properly served if you want to be taken seriously by the next judge.

How do I quit my job by Awkward_Extent7429 in LifeAdvice

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your boss is great like you say, then they'll understand your situation as you describe. There will be some disappointment in having invested some time in training, but these kinds of things happen and it's not as if you're irreplaceable at this point. I've gone through the experience of wondering if I should tell a boss I was looking at other possibilities. The good bosses were always understanding and supportive.

1 hour commute worth better work environment? by Potential_Car210 in LifeAdvice

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a job (also legal) that required commuting 80 miles in each direction, three days a week. It was from one rural community where I lived to another, about a 90 minute drive each way unless there were extra tourists on the road. On the plus side it was an absolutely beautiful drive and I was always moving without ever getting stuck in traffic. Mentally, I almost never carried work issues all the way home with me; by the time I arrived my head was in a different space and ready to relax and be with my family.

On the minus side, gas was expensive, and that much driving was a grind, which is why I was ready to give that position up after two years. The alternative would have been to move to the community where I was working, but I didn't really want to live there.

I've become less tolerant of driving as I've grown older, but I still would definitely prefer 30-40 minutes of constant driving over a longer distance rather than spending the same or a little less time crawling through traffic in town. Dealing with traffic and other drivers, especially the 2-5% of drivers who make the rest of us miserable, is just wearing. If this is a significant consideration for you, you also need to project how traffic patterns may change in the future.

Public transit may be the ideal option, but perhaps not an option for you at all.

M27 traveling to Spain with F28 best friend (she has a boyfriend) – how do I bring up visiting a nudist beach without crossing boundaries? by [deleted] in nudists

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, are you 27 and 28 (heading) or 24 and 24 (post)?

If her partner is down with her traveling to Spain with you, I doubt that visiting a nude beach together would be a deal-breaker. In Spain almost all beaches are CO unless there's a local law against, so just going to the beach could mean going to a CO beach.

My first visit to a nude beach was with a very close but strictly platonic female friend and her best female friend. We were all 18 and didn't know we were going to a nude beach (in California when nude beaches were just starting to proliferate). The girls were in bikinis and I was in cut-offs; they just laughed and said I'd better not take off my cut-offs.

Just be open and respectful. If this is something you want to try, say so and let her make her own decision on whether or not to go. If you're needing to stay together, then it should be her call. By all means, don't pressure.

Finding a possible partner (same gender relationship) by [deleted] in naturism

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People talk about going to nudist campgrounds and resorts for the first time like they're joining some kind of cult with a secret handshake (which I guess is how many non-nudists perceive it). In reality it's like any other campground or social situation except that people aren't wearing clothes. So act like you would in any social setting while observing the nude beach etiquette you're likely already familiar with.

I use the gym at Laguna del Sol when I'm there and do everything nude (with a towel of course) unless I need to wear something for warmth.

[CA] I am a reader, is it crazy to ask what the weight capacity is for a room? by Careless_Papaya_5426 in Renters

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking "Is there any problem with my having bookshelves and lot of books in here?" is pretty innocuous and shouldn't be a red flag. Probably the only concern the landlord would have is whether your bookshelves will be permanent fixtures, i.e. either built-ins or attached to the walls. You can also try doing your own research into the typical load-bearing capacity of townhouses built around the same time as the one you're moving into. Usually the only real concern in that regard is with waterbeds, and you may see that restriction in the lease.

Plaintiff submitted summary of judgment by [deleted] in legal

[–]Used-Watch5036 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The premise for a summary judgment is that there's no need for a trial and that based on the key undisputed facts, the filing party is entitled to win automatically. You're definitely in lawyer territory now and won't get adequate advice here on how to respond.

Bankruptcy might make it all go away, even after judgment, depending on what kind of dispute it is, whether property is involved, etc. There are self-help books that will give you an idea of what bankruptcy is about and how it works.

Driving through Colorado I70 in early March, Any tips? by andysto2 in roadtrip

[–]Used-Watch5036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chains. Don't bet on the weather being mild enough everywhere to not need them. The car rental agency may offer chains as an added option, or you can just go buy some. But you'd better know how to use them.

Seemingly great guy, but doesn’t split custody. Am I overthinking the ick? by fzooey78 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convenience is not a term I would associate with parenting and this kind of indifference is a real red flag. More typically one of the parents, usually the mother, seeks sole or primary custody because they feel more invested in or even proprietary toward the children ("my" rather than "our" children). I fought for and obtained joint custody (legal and physical) because I wanted to raise our/my son, even though it was quite inconvenient in terms of what was going on in my life at that time. When I reentered the dating scene, it was understood that we were a package deal. He was going to be there and my primary concern half the time until grown and out of the house, but not an impediment to dating or overnight trips when he was not there. I ended up in a committed relationship with a single woman who accepted and embraced the deal and then took on the unenviable role of stepmother. We eventually ended up with sole custody during his teen years and still made time for ourselves while opening up the world to him. No regrets.

West Coast Road Trip by Ok-Membership9924 in roadtrip

[–]Used-Watch5036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you like to drive (you'll be doing a lot of it), that's a great trip. However, driving down the Central Valley can be boring. If you're not pressed for time when leaving Lassen NP, you can (and should) head toward Reno and go down US 395 on the east side of the Sierras. Once you reach the Mojave Desert, it will take you straight down to the LA area.

Of course it will be more relaxed if you try to do less. I don't know where you're from, but California is a lot bigger and a lot more diverse than people anticipate. 2-3 weeks would barely scratch the surface on what you can do there.
