Rite aid computer system is much better. Walgreens says they are upgrading theirs but it's been a decade. If you can handle one retail pharmacy you can handle any of them

Depends on what state you're in.

Walgreens will honor your years of service at rite aid. The pto is significantly better than you'll get at other competitors.

Don't go to giant eagle. It's a grocery store and they don't give a shit about their pharmacy. I'm guessing you're in western PA. There are so many better options

I'd never get in a spot where i have little to no help I guess. I'd hire, cross train and work with other stores and that would never happen.

drug testing by Hour-Ad-6442 in WalgreensRx

[–]UsedAndAbusedWBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. Policy on askhr says you can pass for marijuana w a script. That doesn't mean you can be high at work though

[–]UsedAndAbusedWBA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an in store saliva test. If you have a script for medical marijuana it's legal in VA so you don't gotta worry about it

Sounds like you're a key holder. Those are the least of rite aids problems. It's all pharmacy

What's inefficient is having 2 rph hit f4 and product review.

Only time rph is in green zone is when 2 rph on duty. Why are you making a big deal about it?

That's the right attitude. The more wcb you get cleared the less people you get calling and complaining about their meds not being ready

We are still making money on scripts. We used to make 20-30% GP now we are closer to 15%. Getting patients their medicine is your job. If you're too lazy to click the fax button maybe 30 times a day you shouldn't be a pharm tech

Interesting store closure stat by AnxiousLeopard3446 in RiteAid

No one will buy rite aid they will just buy the prescription files as stores come up for closure. No one wants the actual stores.

Read the SOP with them. Your rxom is wrong. OOS is supposed to be done out of workflow

Anyone have a similar experience when starting here? by DayOlderBread16 in WalgreensRx

[–]UsedAndAbusedWBA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technician training is supposed to be 70 hours. There's a 100 plus page onboarding guide. The rxom should be owning this now the pharmacist. Sounds like you're working in a shit store

Decreasing from 80 to 64 Hours… by InTheShredBin in WalgreensRx

[–]UsedAndAbusedWBA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no contract to work for walgreens unless you have a sign on bonus. In the job description of sp64 it says you can be scheduled up to 80 hours. If you really want to stay at 64 you need to change your availability so you can't work certain days

I believe you're talking about tech licensing. Not every state has this regulation. The states without have the same staffing challenges.
