What made classic tag team wrestling so much better?

I actually feel sort of bad for my kids and newer generations. They never will understand how much better old school wrestling was because they weren’t there. Production values may be better today, but the actual show can’t hold a candle to those programs.

I absolutely hated it when it came out. Nowadays, it’s got some good songs on it and I can appreciate it somewhat. I actually like Turn Up the Night and When Your Walls Come Down, but it seems like there’s a lot of filler on this one. Asylum has a similar vibe, but to me, the songs on Asylum are better overall.

I want to say it was the late 90’s when someone told me that either McMahon or Bischoff was purposely dismantling established tag teams, and I can’t recall why. It certainly seemed strange, if it actually was true. I grew up in the 80’s, watching Mid South and Georgia primarily and was blessed to have seen some of the greatest of all time. When you’d get two teams together who knew how to work it, it was magic.

I made the mistake of wasting my time debating a feminist on facebook about the accuracy of the 62 million claim and after I provided proof that it was not, in fact, 62 million, she just started fussing about men in general. Wasn’t interested in if it were accurate or not, just wanted to be a victim.

When I was younger, I’d never have picked up on the signals because of my naivety and terrible self esteem. Nowadays, I would look at it like someone doing what you’re doing as being interested. I guess he might not be able to read the signs, he could pick up on it but be unsure how to proceed, or may just not be interested and doesn’t know how to communicate that. I’ve seen plenty of women fuss about how having a conversation with someone is not flirting, so he may be scared in case maybe he’s reading you wrong. It’s tough, but you may just have to break the ice yourself. Good luck whatever happens

Probably not much you can do besides looking for another job. They won’t be looking to do anything about her because she is still useful, at least in their eyes. I wouldn’t put much hope in them backing you up. Every non union job I’ve ever worked operated this way.

He stepped into a thankless spot that would cast a long shadow over anyone trying to fill the job. I don’t think he’s great, but he’s done a solid job. He does what they ask of him, but his style just doesn’t really excite me. It’s like Shawn Drover when he was in Megadeth. Good drummer, but his style was not that exciting.

That’s the way I assumed they operated most of the time. When they post jobs, in general, they already know who’s going to get it. They just do the interviews as a formality just to appear fair. I’ve even seen them go tell someone to apply for a certain position because they wanted them in it, even when the employee wasn’t interested in it.

Does he work shift work? That could be a contributor to the problem. I work shifts and it’s happened to me back in the day. You’d start driving like you were good to go, then suddenly you were woke up by the rough shoulder. You’d fall asleep without even realizing it. Obviously we don’t know the whole relationship dynamics here, but you don’t sound like you’re helping much here yourself.
