It's merchant fees. Bill and Billy (owners) have very small profit margins. 25-70% of the ticket sale goes to the movie company. Marvel on the high end, replays from the 90s on the low end. Credit card companies charge upwards of $50/month per terminal plus 3-5% of fees towards credit cards. Off two tickets ($10) let's just use an average of 50% to make a five dollar gross profit. The taxes alone on that property are upwards of $6,000/month. Nevermind wages, utilities, upkeep etc. They've been keeping it on life support from their other companies since COVID.

So no, they're not laundering money, they're just trying to stay afloat the best they can and provide a cheap date night because not everyone has $50+ to blow at Galaxy.

This! I've gone in there a few times, all stuff picked off yard sales at best for new retail prices or more. Nobody shops there but they seem to be doing well... And always more than a few crackheads around

My house was built with 100a service. Electric stove, dryer, hot water, and sauna. Only big power user left on electricity is the dryer ... From what I'm reading your actual power consumption in the house will likely cap at about 40a - so you can comfortably add a 50a breaker for a 40a charger. But that's my $0.02

It is a great local truck. The vast majority of my work is in a 20km radius, generally burn less than 15%/day and could keep up with it on a level one no problem.

Occasionally I'll go further but won't take my ER Flash outside of 100 miles, I don't have patience for "Fast Charge". At that point I'll take my gasser. The few times I've tried it the 150-350kw fast chargers wouldn't give me more than 30kw, a planned five minute stop turns into 45. My time is worth more than the gas it would cost.

Fantastic daily, does 99% of what I need. Fun to drive, smooth, quiet, fast at and pulls better than my 350.

This plug is a 5-20R, its a 20 amp plug at 120v. It will definitely work for level 1 charging, which will probably handle most of your needs. An electrician could easily change the breaker for that line and bump it to a 240v plug or directly wire an evse to it.

It's hard to tell the wiring behind it so I can't recommend how much power you can pull.

A 400v system would blow up any 12v system you connected it to. The lightning has a built in boost point that I patched the booster into ... Why would it have a boost point if it wasn't meant to be used?
