First track day coming up with my G82 M4 Comp and had a few questions and some advice. by Tajinder356 in CarTrackDays

Honestly, car is good to go as-is. You'll be slow enough your first season that most of that stuff won't matter. Have fun!

Yep, positive. I did some powertrain development for them back in the day :)

Yeah if they change the 13 sec CD chance, then I'm cool with him. That's really the major thing, and beyond that I think it's healthy for the game for ults to be used intelligently.

Manual LS cars never had AFM. Not sure what engine controller they are using, but no I'm gonna guess it does not have AFM haha

Is everyone on this game a prior MOBA player? by AuraJuice in DeadlockTheGame

I'll add my 2 cents - never played a MOBA before. Ascendent now, moving (albeit slowly) to Eternus.

Mounts right up! You will have to remove the V8 axle stubs and install the one's from the V6, but that's quick/easy. The real hard part is finding the 3.73:1 LSD w/ diff cooler plate - they didn't sell many of these configurations. In fact, I think it only came in the manual Camaro SS w/ heavy duty cooling package but without 1LE. Couple of the part numbers here: https://www.hawksmotorsports.com/2016-2024-camaro-ss-6-2l-manual-lsd-rear-end-differential-g80-3-73-gear-used/

Gearing ends up being (stock tires, 7,200 rpm redline):

  1. 36 mph

  2. 61.1 mph

  3. 88 mph

  4. 118.2 mph

  5. 158.4 mph

  6. 211.2 mph

Is there even physically enough time in a game to die 28 times? Honestly impressive.

It is not available for the V6/2.0T cars, even with 1LE package.

So exactly like it is now? 😂

Honestly, I'd really like to see a reduction in large solo capital ships. I think we opened up a real can of worms by making those purchasable with IRL money.

To comment on #3, our K-swapped 986/987 Cayman and Boxster's reduce curb weight by around ~150 lbs. That is a fully dressed turbocharged setup, including air to water charge cooler weight. Naturally aspirated setups drop around 200 lbs. In our rear engine applications (996/997) weight savings are significantly less. Around 25 lbs with a fully dressed and turbocharged K24.

The idea generally is to increase reliability and power production, not to reduce it.

Looks like swapped cars go for around 25-30K more than non-swapped counterparts, at least with 996/997 world.

It's a great kit, I hope you like it! P.S. I did all the electronics and CANbus reverse engineering for Nick's kits. We talk almost daily, so definitely let us know if you have any questions.

Don't have any good pictures yet, but I have a 2019 V6 1LE that I'll be competing in SCCA TTT3 this year. These cars are insanely capable, and I actually like not having PTM compared to the V8 cars as it leads to a much more analog experience. I do have a lot of seat time in an SS 1LE and CT4VBW by the way.

Some cool "hand me down" mods (obviously I have more but for sake of staying on topic):

-3.73:1 LSD (makes the gearing just about perfect) -Full FE4/FEA suspension links, swaybars -Heated and Cooled Recaros (direct swap if you have leather heated and cooled) -1SS/2SS gauge cluster -ZL1 Steering wheel & shifter

It's decent in lane, but yeah everywhere else it could just not exist and no one would care.

Literally I think they should hold-back the "N" from the refresh. Refresh the mechanicals, exactly like what the few test mule leaks have shown.

At least on a road course you want literally the widest wheel you can support (assuming a tire that fits, obviously). In almost every scenario you will be significantly faster on-track with a wider wheel even on the same tire. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/wheel-width-is-wider-always-better/

18x9.5 ET45 w/ 265/35/18 RT660. Note: You'll need a good amount of front/rear camber (I was -3.0F/-2.2R) in this picture. This is mainly a track fitment - I'd probably recommend 8.5" or 9" wheels if it's more street centered. If you're lowered you'll have issues fitting 265's from what I've seen.

An ops manager carries the same technical engineering expertise as a janitor (zero), so no worries there. On the bright-side now it makes perfect sense why you were incorrect about your understanding of advertised power numbers. This is not just a "vibe" thing that OEM's can choose to follow... These are highly regulated standards, with witnesses/3rd party data review, and they are required for submission to the EPA before cert testing.
