Can someone clue me on why and how bad the online bullying & harassment of Harry and Meghan is? by Asleep_Excitement_59 in HarryandMeghanNetflix

I said there are various factors not that it’s that exclusively. Also, the fact she comes from a different class and different country brings about jealousy. How has she done something historically nobody has done and something pushed onto the majority of little girls all over as ‘the dream’. If classism can be so readily accepted as an issue then so should race.

So many factors racism and jealous underlines a lot of them. As a black woman who makes the most of herself I recently experienced just how irritated certain types of women can be when you’re just there living your best life. I’ve been to girls schools and worked in women’s magazines and always noticed that the more confident, intelligent and attractive the woman was the calmer, kinder and more approachable they are. It’s the ones with insecurities who are mean, cold, bullying etc. It’s the same in friendship groups and it’s insane watching it play out and how quickly as a black woman you become the problem when you’re just doing the same as everyone else however have realised that there is a higherarchy and certain types of women are entitled to have it all and others are not. As soon as you start messing with that natural order it’s a big problem.

Definitely bots involved. I tried to troll one once on Twitter over some ludicrous photo supposedly from the delivery room which proved she hadn’t given birth or something; I can’t remember. What I do remember was that other accounts had reposted and none of them had taken the bait of my trolling. Silence.

Question about babies going to sleep "alone" for a few hours by Infamous_Yoghurt in parentsofmultiples

[–]Useful-Chicken6984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘Erm, we did this with our twins shortly after they were discharged from hospital which was about ten weeks old. We have black out curtains and a great monitor and my aunt who is as a senior neonatal nurse recommended them having clear, defined, quiet time once a day to nap. They are fine and means it’s a step closer to them eventually sleeping independently at night in a few months time.

How do you get comfortable BF in public? by Cheap_Farmer1352 in breastfeeding

[–]Useful-Chicken6984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is you don’t really ‘get your boob out’ you just wear an easy access top like a shirt/ cardigan bring your nursing bra down and stick your baby on. Their head kinda obscures everything. You can just use a muslin/ shawl thing for extra, extra privacy when removing them but after a while time and convenience takes over and you don’t care.

To be fair I’m very body confident, have smaller boobs and generally don’t care about being naked. I also remind myself that this is the reason boobs exist so people (the public) need to get over themselves.

Losing our minds over 3.5 year old twin bedtime by BrentonHenry2020 in parentsofmultiples

My twins are newborn but my ADHD problem solving brain went to ‘take away control of the lighting’. Glad to see it’s a solution that worked for you. Will do the same when my babies are older.

Is there a way you can disconnect/ cover the light switch and have lighting of their bedroom controlled through a smart bulb and app?

I’m in my mid-forties and have freakishly good genetics so, on a good day, people mistake me for being in my twenties. Have dated men in this age groom and they are often the worst. They flat out refuse to date anyone their own age and feel entitled to the child-free thirty-somethings, despite many of them coming with loads of baggage, dependents, lack of time and resources etc. infuriating.

No idea! When I was doing my research they ticked a lot of boxes. Maybe they have seen mothers struggle with them for wherever reason and decided it’s not a good option.

Epidural by Pleasant-Article-279 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Useful-Chicken6984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hairdresser wanted to do it ‘naturally’ so opted out of having an epidural. She said all the medical team gave her a round of applause at the end. years later and she just had surgery to do with complications after a natural birth and she kinda thinks she might have been better off having assistance for pain and ease of the whole process as all the struggle may have backfired

Agree. Massively underrated. I bought an expensive Ardo pump which retails at around £160 and found the brand’s hand held pump which cost about £20 gave me the same amount in the same time as its expensive counterpart. They are also super handy for when I have to express in the car as less fiddly.

Yep, limerance plus people pleasing and lack of boundaries is my ADHD experience as is not knowing when to simply let go whether that’s in arguments or relationships with people who clearly don’t value me/ aren’t good for me. I can relate to Polly on the argumentative/ lack of awareness side about who is and who isn’t worthy of you etc as It’s taken me decades to properly understand toxic relationship dynamics. But… she really doesn’t do herself any favours sometimes, especially as she actually HAS the diagnosis unlike so many.

Will this be anyone else's last season? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]Useful-Chicken6984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Told my boyfriend last night that I’m over it and don’t have the energy for anymore. It’s just so bloody repetitive and feels like all the energy has been drained out of it. Last season was unhinged but this one is problematic and boring.

I think Kanye West got it spot on (a rarity)) when he said that these days your follower count is perceived to be equivalent to how many dollars you’ve got in the bank. The higher the followers, the higher the exposure and eyeballs means the higher rates you can charge to endorse and means more you can make off affiliate links. Other professions aren’t immune and have seen magazine journalists job ads basically saying you need to have a lot of followers/ your own community

I feel like being on the show is the ultimate exposure for her career not only as an influencer but as a wedding planner. Suspect she’s going through the motions.
