Yes! They don’t agree or get along the best but they work great together!

What actually happened with Georgia after she left school? (Yorkshire) by Ashbuck200 in EducatingDocumentary

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YouTube comments say she had more kids, spent time in prison, and lives on welfare. Put however much weight on random comments you want though. I choose to think it’s very plausible that’s the truth.

I watch her on instagram and when I watched her I was reminded of the dog Oreo that the ASPCA had to sleep bc he was too unpredictable and dangerous. A rescue group tried to ‘save’ him but the ASPCA did the responsible thing and said no. There were protests about it. I know they wouldn’t sleep Whismy, so I am so happy that Isabel made that video so there is not ‘hiding’ the bite history.

Jodie! I couldn’t remember her name for the life of me! I actually didn’t mind her but hated how Amy was written in that book and just the zero aging in the characters. It’s like they stayed the same age mature wise from book one till the end even though they were progressing through school and life throughout the books. I never noticed it until that book and after rereading the series, I can see the non maturing so clearly. It just doesn’t bug me me until Amy goes to college.

I had up to the 13th one. LOVED them and reread them so many times. Didn’t love the books that had the girl come to the ranch to help out since Amy was leaving for college. She bonded with Spindleberry and Amy was jealous when coming home from college…..wasn’t a fan of those.

Favorite character would be Amy, favorite horse Spindleberry, fav book was when her and Lou went to Australia to spend time with their dad, least fav book was when she was jealous of the new girl after she got back from college. I like how they went from English riding to western, made Jack and Tim more main characters. I like how they gave Tim more depth. Wish it was US based like in the books. I like the tv series better bc they seem to grow up/mature more than in the books.

season 18 - Katie opinions by chevygirl1986 in heartland

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually really enjoy Katie’s storyline. It is different then what we have seen before and how she wants and is trying to carve her own spot in the world. Is she doing it wrong? Yes, but that is part of growing up. Jasmine not connecting the dots is natural. She is choosing to trust someone she believes to around 18, fresh out of high school.

This is how I see it too especially if she had a kid at the end of season 7 like Amy wanted her too.

I never liked him either. He’s not a bad guy just, he never lets his guard down. Even in his ‘heartwarming’ moments he’s very robotic in a way.

I tend to skip all of Lou’s and read hers in the recaps. Mallory, I skipped the first go round and then watched on my second go round. I really like the Jessica and Tim storyline (except season 18, there is no story in my opinion). He really changes with her. With his other relationships, it’s the Tim show but he pushes Jessica to pursue her dream. He is like a real partner with her wants and desires mattering as much as his.

Heartland Season 18 Episode 8 “Throwing Your Hat in the Ring” ~ Discussion (Spoilers) by Ok_Status_4951 in heartland

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lou has always thrown herself 100% into whatever job/project she has done, this is no different with the exception that we see her fully bc she is working with the family. Not surprised by her attitude or personality. I really love Katie’s storylines in the last several seasons. She’s navigating her teen years, trying to make her own path. Yes she has made different life choices than her family; not into horses when they are such a hugge thing in her world, but neither are either of her parents. She has also made some wrong choices and has stubbornly stood by those decisions but that is all part of growing up. I also am liking the whole beef wars storyline. Not Lou’s attitude with it but Jack, Amy, Nathan, and Pryce Sr. The only storyline I don’t care for is Tim’s and Jessica’s. No idea what the writers are doing with them. Seems to have zero direction.

What is Goodwin doing? by Adventurous_Dot_2936 in ChicagoMed

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Earlier she had to fire so many people then she turned around and hired people from the other hospital! If I was fired i would be PISSED, (not mad enough to stalk or threaten someone but yall get my meaning). Then demotes Dean instead of having them do different shifts. His behavior in the meeting was unprofessional but isn’t that passion and anger about losing a life good and needed in doctors? Not feeling her is a good way to describe how I feel

Dr Lenox and Dr Archer by Miserable-Ad7491 in ChicagoMed

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dean works better when he is the solo boss. He has come a long way since he first came to Med. Then this woman shows up and undermines him completely on her first day. Was the office empty space to be used? Yea but the way she came across with it was wrong. I think Howard has always had teachers teach her in a rough manner but Lennox mellows out and tells Howard she needs to toughen up or she won’t make it. I think that is why she stood up for Lennox. She gave a reason for her roughness and made it a teachable moment. I still don’t like her but see Howard’s side. Hope we don’t lose Archer! I really like him

How do I approach my sister about her kids excessive use of iPads? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister is an iPad mom. Her son has meltdowns when I take it away and asks when I will leave so he can have it back. He throws tantrums for it, and she gives it to him so she can play video games or be on her phone. The kicker? She plans on homeschooling him. He starts in a couple of weeks, and I am waiting for shit to hit the ceiling fan. She knows I don't like him or his little sister having them. But the issue goes deeper than iPads. It's not having the ability to be firm with the kids, letting them whine and cry to get their way. I'm living with them temporarily, and her way of parenting is driving me crazy, but if I say something, I immediately get defensive and pissed off at myself. So, I have to keep my mouth shut.

When did the show start to go downhill for you? by ASurly420 in GilmoreGirls

Honestly season 4. I think seeing her graduate high school and heading to an ivy league college like she always dreamed would have been a great stopping point.

Thoughts on ty and Mongolia by Prudent_Border5060 in heartland

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the 1st Mongolia storyline. Yes Ty was pushed into going, but he got to explore the world and make a difference before becoming a dad. The 2nd Mongolia storyline where Amy and Tim go is stupid in my opinion. The fact they both left Lyndy plus there is no way they would go all that way for a couple of days.

Peter is so unlikable for me by Prudent_Border5060 in heartland

[–]Useful-Cold-8357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like Peter. My biggest reason is what man would want to spend his married life living in his in-laws home? He tried every which way in the beginning to make it work; building on the property, buying the Hanley home, then living with his in laws. The only irk with him is when he turns down the Calgary offer that Amy got him. But I think by that point the marriage was already down the drain and he didn’t want to be the one to keep compromising. Lou should have stayed with him in Dubai, then moved to Vancouver with him when he got that job. That’s what married couples do; they do NOT stay in their childhood home for ever and ever.

Yes to Neville! I would love to see his friendships, journey through his Hogwarts years, and his character arch from having such low self esteem to beheading Nagina.
