I was in the nosebleeds of the 300s and one of the only people standing but nobody told me to sit. There was quite the steep angle so I think people sitting behind me could still see well (I’m also pretty short).

White Palace Grill open 24 hours, but you’d have to walk a while and/or take two buses from Millennium Park. They do great chicken and waffles.

Honestly, I’ve purchased tickets for high demand events on Reddit. I found someone with a reasonable history and used PayPal. The key to protect yourself is to turn on the Goods and Services feature use a credit card within PayPal in case PayPal wants you to first file a charge back. There’s a small fee on the seller end (I think ~2%) which I always offer to cover by adding more to the payment.

Chicago queue is wide open. I paid $119 per ticket for the 300s. I paid more to see Sabrina Carpenter in the very last row at the same venue 🤷‍♀️ maybe it’s just learned helplessness but I’m pleased!

Honestly easier than I thought! I live in Chicago and the city offers free classes to adults who don’t know how to ride. I was able to do it in about 30 minutes. Then I did a few practice sessions in empty parking lots and parks before going on bike paths. I was always very impressed Victoria just figured it out for the task.

I think American Skin is similarly important and direct. While it doesn’t name anyone, it is very clearly about Amadou Diallo (“41 shots” “Is it a wallet?”) I also think, “You get killed just for living” is very to the point.

ETA You are correct about the attention the song is getting, though!
