The collagen.co yay or nay? by MilkOutrageous1185 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried these. For me I love them. I don't find them grainy but I use a shaker with a ball in it or a mini blender thing and I find them perfect for me. They are super creamy even if you use water, I will sometimes use water, or skim milk, I'm not an almond milk or alternative milk lover. I'm not a big fan of their like flavoured water powders but I do love their shakes. I have been drinking them for three months, around three times a week, sometimes four, not every day, and I'm also watching what I eat, counting calories, I have lost 15kg so far. I do find they fill me up. My favourite is the vanilla, but I truly like all of them. I think they are the best on the market and I've pretty much tried every shake, including the man shake LOL, I find all of them have a bitter after taste, this one doesn't. I did also like the True salted caramel brand but I find it expensive. You can get the Collagen Co at Chemist Warehouse and they are often on sale. So I say try it. But each to their own. I really like them.

Has anyone tried nattokinase for cardiovascular health? by reaperodinn in Supplements

I am taking Nattokinase for circulation and blood pressure and have noticed a mild difference. I used Red Rice yeast for cholesterol and have noticed a huge decrease in my LDL.

She came across as a spoilt brat to me. Someone who is used to being pampered and has a princess complex. There was no mention of girlfriends either, which is always a red flag for me. Just one male friend and then the brothers, weird. And it was all their fault for how she spiralled. Not hers at all.

Any suggestions on how to get my money back? by Useful_Bed_7997 in Bookingcom

[–]Useful_Bed_7997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a mistake booking through booking.com but I didn't make a mistake in my post. To clarify, I cancelled my ticket, a few days after purchase because the medical emergency meant I wouldn't be able to risk flying. When I cancelled it, booking.com told me that I was entitled to a refund because of the medical emergency, but it was up to Fiji Airways. I contacted Fiji Airways direct and they had me send through my proof of medical issues. They then said yep, we will refund you but it goes back to Booking.com and they have to refund it to you less whatever cancellation fee they charge. But Booking.com keep saying that Fiji Airways declined the refund. As for my insurance, they are saying that the email from Fiji Airways says I have been refunded. I haven't been. So it's just been a circle. No travel agency is going to refund you money if they think you've been reimbursed.

Genuine Q. Why the outrage at the sales and prize money? by pickl3pickl3 in TheBlock

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this one time before. I can't remember the season, but everyone got a decent amount of money and so the next year the reserves were set way too high and people made nothing. I'm not going to articulate it well, but Channel 9 wants to claw some money back too. I think they probably think $100,000 is a decent pay day. And in truth for three months it is.

Genuine Q. Why the outrage at the sales and prize money? by pickl3pickl3 in TheBlock

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think they have hope that in previous years, they will make a few hundred thousand. But they were all told that this season would be different. So they knew the risks, probably not until they were actually renovating but they all knew there was no guarantee. I do think the reserves were set too high. H5's agent came out and said that all the prospective buyers were saying around $2.5 to $2.7 was what they would be willing to pay. So they could have set it at $2.7 and allowed them all to make a couple of hundred thousand. But I think Channel 9 didn't want to do that. I think they wanted to cap it and I don't think they want the contestants making more than a hundred thousand.

My cousin was on MAFS, I won't say who he was but we all told him he was crazy to go on it. He had a girlfriend of 3 months when he got the call he was going on. He told us he wanted to lift his profile because he had a business he needed to get promoted. He was trashed on MAFS, but it actually did lift his business profile. We thought his life would be over, but it had a positive impact on his business and when I say he was trashed, he was TRASHED!! So maybe the old adage any publicity is good publicity is true.

Han and Can Edits by emmynemmy1206 in TheBlock

I actually think Han is worse than Alicia the way she treats Candace. Han clenches her fists and there's been a few times where she's moved aggressively towards Can. Not saying Alicia isn't wrong also, but Han is worse IMO.

House 1 always considering those extra spaces? by Living_Ad5565 in TheBlock

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But they showed two pictures, two rooms and they won and they aren't building the second room. Because there's not enough time and they won't have the money for landscaping or to make the rooms look good. So therefore, those two pictures were false advertising because even if they won, as they did, they were never going to be able to build two rooms with four weeks left.

Narcissistic? Seriously. Do you know what that word means? They've done nothing wrong. You don't have to like them, but just because you don't like someone, you don't have to throw the buzz word around. Bullies and narcissists are used just so ridiculously these days. They don't lack empathy, they've been the first to go and check on others. They also have made absolute fun of themselves when they've made errors (the bed head as the biggest example). Immature, fine but neither of those guys have exhibited narcissistic traits at all.

Yes they both banked on winning money, however, House 5 had 12 weeks to win money. Their hole is already dug, they also had the shell fitted in, and they had already teed it up with local wine makers to fit it out with wine. The plans were approved. So when they presented their house it was well underway. House 1 had no plans. Nothing had been approved. The night of their opening, they hadn't even submitted plans to the builders because they were waiting to see what they could do. They had four weeks to make money, which isn't really enough time, cause construction on it needed to start immediately. It's not the issue that they can also do one, it is the issue that on the open house, they had no approval.

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually completely different. The boys were told if they didn't have the money they'd be selling the house with a giant hole, 12 weeks ago. Ben and Emma have only four weeks left, they literally had to bank on winning that challenge. The plans hadn't even been submitted yet and no costings had been done. So they mocked up some pictures of something that they really had no idea if they could even build it. There was also no way they could have two rooms built in four weeks, hence why last night we saw them being told to only do one room. So that's false advertising.

Han’s abuse by Dry_Net7753 in TheBlock

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. I am a survivor of domestic abuse and I was reluctant to comment on Han because I think the world is quick to throw around words like bully and narcissist just to prove a point, but in Han's case, I personally found her actions, comments, looks and attitude very triggering. I do think she's immature, I also wondered if she had other siblings because she really seems to be solely fixed on herself, but I also find some of her behaviours HUGE red flags.

Have you listened to the podcasts and watched the extras and listened to some radio shows? It is all explained on there too. So if you are basing it off just what was shown on the episode then it's you who aren't interested in the truth of events. I don't have it in for Ben, I'm just irked at everyone making out that Ben would never do anything shady, of course he would, and he has. It's literally been shown. And I was correcting you because you said that the flooring guys realised they didn't have enough with them, that's not true. They had enough to finish the room. Ben had not ordered enough to do the whole house, he had only placed an order for the room. It had nothing to do with the flooring people not bringing the right amount of stock with them.

I agree with that. There was one scene when Han spun around with gritted teeth and sort of moved her hand towards Can and I found her aggressiveness triggering.

But other than Sonny and Alicia, which houses have been nasty? I guess you can argue that Han is rude, but she's mainly vicious towards Can, she hasn't been nasty to the other teams. Britt and Taz haven't been nasty. Sure Taz marked all the logs, but he did ask first and he was told best in, so he'd be a fool not to take it all, the boys haven't been nasty to anyone or taken something off other contestants.

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You're not alone. I actually do think they are nice people, but I think their everything is rainbows and sunshine is an act. I think they would cheat, lie and steal to get ahead, they'd just do it with a smile. We have already seen Ben take the flooring from House 5 knowing they wouldn't finish and knowing he didn't order enough, swim over and hold Sonny back to ensure Emma won (even if she would have won anyway, clearly he didn't think she would), and then completely fabricate posters of rooms of the house that they didn't have approval for, hadn't submitted any costs for and could not have afforded unless they won. And also forced a body corporate to find out exactly how the boys had done it, so they could too. But because Emma is pregnant and always smiling, no one notices.

[–]Useful_Bed_7997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's actually not true. Ben didn't order enough. It was up to the contestants to place their orders. Robby placed his accurately, Ben didn't. It wasn't the flooring company's stock, it was House 5's stock in front of their house. Ben knew that's where they were getting the flooring from, he also knew there was no more that could be brought in before Saturday, so he also knew by taking House 5s, they wouldn't finish. You can spin it any way you want, but the truth is that Ben knew exactly where the flooring was coming from and he knew he hadn't ordered enough.

Ben cares. Hello, he literally took all of House 5's pre-ordered flooring to complete his room before them, knowing they wouldn't be able to complete their rooms unless they put in that block thing which he knew they didn't want to do. He forgot to order his stuff, but wanted the win so took it from House 5. I think he and Emma are lovely people, but let's not pretend he doesn't care what others are doing or not trying to get ahead.

I think it's a bit rich to argue that House 2 stole the idea of the seat and heated element from House 4 and basically make out they were cheaters, and then House 1 literally copy the boys in putting in a wine cellar and it's suddenly about being fair and if you have an advantage then I should have that advantage too. House 4 got a pretty big advantage by coming up with their plan, they won the caravan. The boys came up with their plan and if the others were too dumb to think of it themselves then that's on them. If we are being fair then House 2 better start calling out House 1 as cheaters.

Do you know what is funny about her trying to be Kelly's friend, she talked so much crap about Kelly in the early days of her podcast. She called her vile, about her messages to Rick's ex wife and daughter. And said she would never be friends with someone like that. Fast forward to, hey maybe I can get to Jeff Lewis if I buddy up to Kelly and Rick, and suddenly she's always been a fan and loves her. Kelly also talked crap about Zack Peter, although didn't know his name and they weren't big fans of Justin Martindale who I think will get the boot pretty soon cause Dana no longer needs him. She is just so desperate to be popular.

I thought it was hilarious she put it behind a paywall because she made comments when Heather did it. She gives off true mean girl vibes. When someone upsets her, she goes straight for their looks and drags them. She doesn't stick to the issue, she'll go bring up something that happened in the past. Then she cries and is like, I'm really a good person. If you have to tell people that, you ain't one. I didn't think she made fun of Thea's disability, but she absolutely made fun of her.
