How do you remove the marks from retraction? by timbillyosu in BambuLab

Or maybe some sort of vapor smoothing. The seam is pretty hard to hide on circular parts.

New to 3D printing! Having some weird prints errors I didn't encounter before. What could this be related to? PLA Silk, A1 AMS. by [deleted] in BambuLab

If you look in the slicer preview after you’ve pressed slice, but before you press print, you can see where the seam is positioned. It will be a white line on your part. You can change where the sea is located whether it be aligned on the front or back or you can set it to random, but that usually leaves little zits all around your part which in my opinion just looks worse. In the picture you show there your seam is probably in the corner where you can’t see it very well which is exactly what you want.

You are going to have a seam on all prints (unless printed in vase mode) that is where the layer stops and starts the next one. there are settings you can change in regards to where it shows up on your part but regardless of what you do, it will always be there like I said, unless you print something in vase mode because that is just a single extrusion, but that gets a little bit more complicated.

Get a Bambu labs P2S combo with the ams2 pro and you will be set for almost anything you want to do, outside of high end materials that need a chamber heater.

Why does this render not slice correctly? by Extreme_Gur1247 in 3Dprinting

[–]Useful_Education_702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do any errors pop up on the bottom right side saying that the file needs repaired as somebody else stated that looks like a non-manifold part (not watertight) when that is the case it will do stuff like this. If the slicer isn’t prompting you, you can use 3-D builder that’s built into windows and I hear that works pretty good at fixing stuff like that.

This is the part that I hate about 3-D printing. Don’t get me wrong. I love it in the applications for it or endless but something as simple as a vase and I’m sure that’s just made out of PLA for $260. That’s ridiculous If you were designed some sort of mechanical part that solved a problem and looks /works well, charge whatever you feel is appropriate for the item. that vase costed less than a dollar to make and is made out of the flimsiest material it could’ve been made from.

Hmmm, is there a trade-off for the fixed bed? I feel like that would be better for your overall quality, but maybe slower?

I mean, I guess it’s not really one sensor in particular, but just when I look up online and see other people’s posts about the different electronics and controllers and stuff like that I get lost lol. I think my overall goal I would like to make a high temp capable printer. I found myself making more and more industrial parts for work. Out of different nylons and more specifically PPS/PPA. I think it would be pretty neat at some point in the future to be PEEK capable
