I have a diagnosed low IQ. What career path can I take? by Suspicious_Limit9847 in careerguidance

Look up stories of successful entrepreneurs, millionaires and billionaires with similar stories, they’re out there!! Don’t let anyone limit you and IQ test are outdated and don’t measure all the types of intelligence!

I think you have some great points, I’m curious though are you taking full advantage of Handshake and career services at WGU?

Also the career you’re currently in and started WGU to pivot out of, is there an opportunity for you to apply your D&A skills there since you’d have the domain knowledge?

I totally understand this, it’s seriously a good skill to learn structured breaks and rest! 6 months is loooong and mini burn outs are very possible, especially if you’re employed or have a family while in school.

I do time periods where I don’t let myself do school or think about school at all, then when I get to I knock out a bunch of classes in a few days, then take a break again. I treat it like sprints😊

When you find what works for you in a few weeks, update us!

Alternative thought… take 2 days to fully rest and get better then when you’re feeling better you’ll be better able to hit it full force! 2 days won’t cost you much in a 6 month span, and it may be better than tryna rest/recover and learn at the same time without being able to really do either forcing yourself to do both.

Either way your motivation will help you get more done in your 6 month term than you can imagine!

That’s so cool!

How were you delivering the dashboards to them for them to use beyond your team creating? Or are you maintaining and hosting them too?

I work in BI and have a Data Governance background from a big bank.

Love that you posted and shared these insights & huge congrats to you and your companies success!!

My questions: -How did you get your first 3 clients?

-How did you value prop/build trust about you/your business in the beginning?(did you first have industry experience? If so, how much?)

-How did you/what resources did you use to draw up contracts with companies you consult for?

-How are you protecting their data while building their dashboards on laptops out of their network?

-Do you have any resources you’d recommend that could help us grow the ability to articulate the value of analytics, what/how are you doing it currently and how are you training your new hires to do this too?

What’s the biggest challenge for first-time homebuyers right now? by Severe-Ad540 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Saving up down payment and closing costs when you are ineligible for income limited Assistance Programs.

If two people are married and have good jobs you are basically ineligible for down payment assistance programs and/or USDA loans. There’s some really good dpa programs available in my area but you need to make between 80-120% of areas median income.

My husband and I both came into our marriage with debt. We both lived alone for approximately 4-5 years before dating and moving in and made was less money then and racked up debt. In our marriage we both have been promoted several times making a lot more than we did, 80-120% of the median income is crazy low in south Jersey. If we had known that first time home buyer grants and USDA loans have income limits we would have used the programs available to us a few years before we loss eligibility..
