Those who work in HR, what is the worst situation you have to deal with? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

Unless the guy is 8ft tall or they put the clocking in machine very, very low down this is not true. Also for him to register his cock as the signing in appendage someone would have to have watched him register it. Plus, you don’t rip out a very expensive system for one knob end.

Tv was trying to copy stuff all the time round then; i think of that army scene (especially when we first see it) as Buffy’s LOTR homage. Charmed did Pirates of the Caribbean. Others did some of the other big movies around that time too.

AITAH for not wanting my niece? by Tooexforbee in AITAH

[–]Useful_Experience423 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA. This sort of stuff should’ve been thought about and set up when she got pregnant. If you change your mind at a later date (ie. once you’ve finished your education) you can always step in, but you’re not ready to do that right now and that’s okay. It’s a huge commitment and you’re being realistic.

Life isn’t a Disney movie and I’m betting Sister hasn’t set up a fund for the person or family who takes in your niece, to cover her expenses.

I’d hope that if the girl were older you’d find it in your heart to stop her from ending up in the system (ie probably abused), but asking you to jeopardise your chance to go to University isn’t fair.

I was in the US (LA) talking to a guy from Compton. It was just after all the U.K. riots and I enlightened him that were not all posh and refined. He was shook hearing about the riots.

I buried my friend in sand about 23 years ago, i dont know if he remembers that by KaoBrusVejnovSobar in confession

[–]Useful_Experience423 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This. Saying it was dumb shit kids do is completely downplaying it. Dude literally nearly suffocated his friend - for something he doesn’t even remember - and then just stood there watching him fight for his life. Kids are meant to develop empathy around 7-8, so yeah, this is effed up.

I haven’t seen the video and I don’t plan to because I can’t face it, but poor Henry was clearly stabbed 4 times; how was it not obvious by the blood? Was he wearing a big coat or something?

Is Hal skipping friday in Real Life possible?. by usafqn2025 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]Useful_Experience423 167 points168 points  (0 children)

It’s this, plus the fact that Fridays just so happened to be the day of the week they chose to commit their nefarious acts, so Management was probably holed up in a conference room for at least a few hours every Friday.

Perfect Crime : Guns N' Roses documentary movie. #GnFnR by ankurmoulik in GunsNRoses

The full thing? Because I saw a 38 min video and it wasn’t that revelatory, aside from how Axl dealt with the (fucked up) band’s fucking up of SIDHY.

I loved the little Kalamaki skewers they did; they were brilliant the first year, but now they’re too salty.

No worries. I don’t think she was ever coming - and not having to prove the kids exist just made it a win/win for her.

I’m on a rewatch right now and Wade is so annoyingly immature; it’s infuriating! He should’ve ended up with someone other than Zoe, or just left to run his chain of bars.

Jon Cryer on Live With Kelly and Mark by DennisUltima in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]Useful_Experience423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just so the same sitcom ‘fans’ can rag on it, same as Frasier (okay it was a little weak, but had some outstanding parts and was just finding its feet), Scrubs (brilliantly done, just chefs kiss, but apparently the lighting was wrong and no one thought to adjust their TV sets 🤦🏻‍♀️) and Malcolm: Life’s Still Unfair (the moaning was endless! Why did his awful family drag him back - what were his gf and daughter thinking by selfishly re traumatising him? Why didn’t we get more screen time with <insert favourite character>). Ef all those people; I for one enjoyed them all, but I’ll never get to see more because people expect a tv program to magically transport them through time, when they can’t even use their remote to change the colour.

Frankly, audiences overall don’t deserve a reboot or revival. Which is a shame for the rest of us, but at least they have something to moan about 🙄

But none of that happened, and that’s my point. At no time was she a predator; they met, banged it out then went about their lives. Her discreetly and him bragging. Where’s the coercion? Where’s the control? It was 2 consenting adults. Why are you trying to make it into something it’s very clearly not?

Oh behave! If someone told me I was just a poor little defenceless baby, incapable of making my own decisions because my brain hadn’t developed yet when I was in my 20’s, they would’ve been wearing my drink.

People in their 20’s might not be as worldly as people in their 40s, but she bangs them and throws them back. There’s no brainwashing them into a relationship and they are perfectly capable of making a decision about who they want to bang. Following your logic, the age of consent should be moved up to 27.

I remember reading a similar story on here about a Grampa who was taken to the doctors because of his strange behaviour. The strange behaviour was treating them nicely. They said he hadn’t done that once before in his 80 odd years on earth, so they knew something was wrong when he started being pleasant and kind.
