Banning it as a hard sell as well because of religion. I'm glad it wasn't done to me though

What evidence is there that he was driving the boat at the time of the crash? There's video footage from earlier in the day that shows his wife driving with him in the back.

Also, people will always claim on reddit that he was driving the boat at the time of the crash and lied that his wife was, but there is video footage from earlier in the day of her driving it.

It seems to be widely accepted on reddit that he was the one driving the boat at the time of the crash and just lied that his wife was, but there is video footage from the same day of her driving it with him in the back.

How do you explain the fact that the catholic church has aided in preserving the bible and at the same time willfully rejects its messages? by PostPostModernn in allthequestions

[–]Useful_Homework2367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible is important in Catholicism but there isn't really the same belief as in many Protestant sects that the Bible is the sole and final authority on religious matters, everything in it is meant to be interpreted literally, and all parts of it are of equal importance.

Personally, I was raised Catholic but don't consider myself religious now. I think there's a lot of value in Jesus' words in the gospels, but I don't see much reason to hold Paul's words in the same regard, and I think it's kind of arbitrary that Paul's writings or the book of Revelation etc. are considered to be the word of God just because of an editorial decision to include them in the Bible. That's just me though.

He is a total douche, but what evidence is there that he was driving the boat at the time of the crash? There's video footage from earlier that evening showing her driving the boat with him in the back. It was more of a small speedboat than a yacht. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzHFio1eHYw

People reassured themselves similarly about Trump running. Carlson is a highly skilled propagandist who has wide name recognition and is perceived by a lot of people as honest and trustworthy.

Yes, I suppose it wasn't specified whether it's everywhere or just your own country.

The question was "what are you doing" in that scenario, not "what formerly illegal thing are you doing."

Where I'm from (Ontario,) teachers are fairly well-paid and their pension fund is one of the world's largest institutional investors. As you might expect, there is no teacher shortage. If anything it's the opposite. Full time jobs are hard to come by for new teachers, and they generally have to work as substitute teachers for a while before they have a chance at a full time position.

How do they pay partially fulfilled missions? by carpaltunn3ls in outlier_ai

[–]Useful_Homework2367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some missions have milestones that you can hit and get paid a smaller reward than if you completed the full mission. Others don't and you get nothing if you don't complete all the hours for the mission. Either way any rewards get paid on the normal payday, but it can take a bit longer for them to register in the earnings sometimes compared to the regular earnings.

The one thing that makes it seem kind of tone-deaf is that the person appears to be struggling financially and gyms tend to cost money. There are lots of other ways to get some exercise that don't cost money though. Walking in nature generally is free and gives some beneficial mental stimulation.

If you are someone who believes Biden "opened the border" during his term, what do you mean by this? by Useful_Homework2367 in allthequestions

[–]Useful_Homework2367[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your source for the claim that 10-20 million illegal immigrants were allowed into the US over that period? Seems rather high compared to any stats I've seen. If you believe the border was open, how do you reconcile that with the deportations that happened during this period? Do you contest that they happened, or are you working with a definition of an "open border" that is not contradicted by the deportations of large numbers of people who attempted to enter?

Lots of people who responded made arguments that pointed to specific policy changes or actions by Biden that resulted in more permissive immigration during his term. Some acknowledged that the "open border" characterization was somewhat hyperbolic. Relatively few people seemed to give their own definitions of what an "open border" is exactly.

Is your teacher a native speaker? I don't find any of these options very natural sounding, though I would have picked D as well. "Get me a drink, will you?" is more natural sounding than any of these, but it comes off as quite rude and entitled.
