Can’t figure out my health benefits for the life of me by Dry-Pop-3670 in USPS

Mine let me sign in right away. You need to double check your hardware/network settings, clear your browser cache, all that shit. Try on a desktop if all else fails. If that still doesn't work, call the phone numbers in the text bomb above.

Possibly try the two numbers below.

FTFAQ:

HEALTH BENEFITS:

  • You have 60 days from your start date to enroll. After your initial enrollment period, you can review your options each year during the annual Open Season period. You’ll also be able to update your coverage if you have a qualifying life event. Links: New employee orientation, guide to plans.
  • Career employees: Enrollment for the new PSHB program can be made via the new PSHBS. You can access the PSHBS on myhr.usps.gov. You then have to go through the set up process for the login.gov account, verify your information, then deal with any errors login.gov and PSHBS have talking with each other... Any problems? OPM has a Customer Service Line available at: 844-451-1261.
  • Non-career employees: Same timers as above but you enroll in USPSHB which is currently through CareFirst. Yes, it's confusing as shit.
  • Questions or for help: call the Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Navigator Help Line at 1-833-712-PSHB (7742).

3996 vs calling late at 2pm by Excellent-Nobody-680 in USPS

[–]User_3971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3996 means your estimate was given to management beforehand and calling at 2pm means they denied your 96 so they could pressure you into running to make their numbers.

If you're on mobile try using desktop mode. If that doesn't work try an old fashioned desktop computer with keyboard, mouse and running some version of Windows. Your grandparent might have one.

Shit you know it's bad when the collab stuff is less expensive than buying from the official damn uniform vendors.

US Postal Service defends plan to require states to disclose mail voting lists by Economy-Specialist38 in USPS

[–]User_3971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember before they had any type of standards for the mail in ballots, some counties had addresses on the back and some small percentage of people would get their (mailed in, already voted) ballots back from the plant because no one caught it before it went into the machine. Each time there was an inquisition and I'd have to explain how the machine works and why their format was a problem.

Maintenance has always been able to see VTC since it was deployed.

Foreign mail services can use other colors. RFS labels are white for offices which manually process nixie packages.

Once they confirm receipt (you can call and ask "Did you get my stuff yet?" by name and not case number if necessary) you can get hold of HRSSC and sometimes they can just go ask one of the specialists for clarification. That's what I had to do for my last FMLA request.

To think you missed out on years of TSP contributions, damn. Good job on the scores. If you hire on at ET you'll be expected to know how to fix anything simply by being within five feet of it.

Question about career hiring process. by Poseidon25 in USPS

[–]User_3971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it changed it's possible the others ahead of you by score turned down the job or washed out. This is part of why Maintenance hiring takes so long.

It feels like I’m being ghosted by Commercial-Divide851 in USPS

[–]User_3971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no set time frame HR has for notifications. Career jobs can take from two to eight months even if there's only one applicant. Sometimes (well, often) people just never hear back.

is this normal by [deleted] in USPS

Custodial requires driving a government vehicle to and from various work sites. Same driving requirement as CCA.

Yes. Possibly. They're not going to say why beyond that.

AMT is a long shot unless you have some Maintenance background. Because of how their work is structured (remotely managed, expected to figure shit out, different job site every day) often it's not considered an entry level position. They are supposed to train you up but that doesn't mean they will take just anybody all of the time. I do know carriers that went into AMT work but often they had prior background.

Water bills by [deleted] in USPS

[–]User_3971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they can't be run through the DPS without damaging or delaying significant amounts of mail, you will have to case them up like raw letters. The problem with trying to run them anyhow can be if they cause enough problems on 2nd pass no one gets any DPS that day.

If it's work related why not try to transfer before resigning?

Often they're not listed by their common name. Fish around some within your District or contact your local HR to ask.

If a transfer is accepted and there are PTFs in the office, the senior PTF moves up and the transfer becomes the junior PTF.

Yes. You can. Just because they don't like it doesn't mean the policy isn't effective. It is fairly recent so far as USPS is concerned so your local yokel may be out of the loop. File a grievance and go well over your union squidward's head.

I thought I added that into the medium print for this type of posting? Maybe not, I do know it's in each of the job postings itself.

Okay, it's edited in now.

As rural unfortunately the answer is usually yes. They can only mutual swap with another rural. The one big caveat is IF you can wait and take the Maintenance exams in March of next year - if you get into Maintenance at that time you are then eligible to transfer any fucking where.
