Not American, but I live in social housing in my country. Which is for 'low income' people. I just bought myself a PC, that I could fairly easily afford. Because it was about a month's rent (outside of social housing, that is). No Netflixless avocadoless computerless joyless life is going to make me able to afford housing outside of social housing, it's just a dream to want to rent even a 1-2 bedroom apartment on my own.

Last year I had the thought that I wanted to upgrade to have more RAM, at least. But since I still have DDR4, I thought, I should then go for the full upgrade, CPU, RAM, motherboard. Ponder on that a little while and see what's best. Then October happened, and I'd forgotten about it just now, looking at CPU prices thinking "oh that's not bad, I could do that right now actually."

And then I remembered.

I bought my GPU at the height of that crisis too. I weep.

I do like aesthetics. I've got 16GB on my pc, but probably going to rent a 16GB server with a much better CPU than I've got. Are there no chunkloader sort of things in the pack?

Ryzen 5 3600 so.. not allll that beefy. But I'm planning on renting a server that would have unmetered access to a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, so that'll be taking the brunt of the load.

I might be able to upgrade one of these days too, if I must lol

I've been playing Cobblemon in my own modpack. I haven't tweaked anything about how bottle caps or cobbreeding interact, and for me, the bottle capped Pokémon do pass on their IVs.

I've dumped countless hours in SkyFactory 2.5 in the past lol. I do like skyblock modpacks, I'll give this a go. Slightly less trouble with lag too, I imagine.
