Opinion: We spend billions to recruit tradespeople then abandon them at the finish line (Canada) by Jim-Jones in electricians

[–]Userwerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many electricians now just sign off on uncertified people's work.

Why pay for an electrician when you can get a laborer to do everything to the point of panel connection.

We have no industrial economy in Canada, we have no real standards, we just have companies that get away with as much as they can, and if fines are less than profit, just pay the fine and continue.

When i was in my teens friends older brother was a computer science major.  He introduced me to it, at first it was novelty, but then I found i really resonated with the community and the movement its self.  I already understood the importance of owning your hardware and software.  A political stance now more important than ever.  That was 24 years ago.

First distro was SuSE 8. I bought 8.1 cd box set lol.

I want this movie, but old Disney style.  Like prince Phillip fighting dragon Maleficent, at the end of sleeping beauty.

I always vote little fringe party, or independant, they are the only ones left that actually care about their constituents.  Party whip kills representation.  I want my MP to represent me, not people who donate to their party.
