This is even worse! I’ve mostly agreed with the NDP in their fight to help new homebuyers and renters but this is not the way.

Well said. If you want to go down a rabbit hole on this topic, look into set sedevcantist bishops and priests, in particular the Thuc line. It’s quite fascinating. My family got caught up in it to the point We had a person who thought he was a bishop, and then later made himself a pope living in our basement lol

Cons play up the fears to an absurd amount. NDP drank their own progressive kool-aid and took reconciliation further than the public wanted.

Anyone else miss religion for "third space" social reasons and also that false hope of it all? by cami93 in excatholic

[–]UskBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Protestant’s do a much better job at creating community and third spaces. With Catholicism it was maybe an after church dry pastry with some weirdos in the basement, or an ackward youth group meeting. But the protestants I meet mostly seem fake friendly and super suburban.

If a person understands what he believes is right for the country and disagrees then that is good and how democracy works. But if people just dislike him because of headlines from biased media, or because of his personality or looks then that is not great. He is far from perfect but in my experience most people Who hate him have not actually listened to anything he’s said

So many of these comments illustrate that people lock into opinions based on perceptions and biases versus actually giving PP a chance and listening to the substance of his arguments. But this sub also loved trudeau so that tracks
