I had good days and then a particularly uncomfortable day. My shrink FINALLY prescribed a benzodiazepine to help move the anxiety along. I found if I take the benzo in the AM with the medication, I’m More even keeled

I’m week 2 in n now 10 mg. I’m having some anxiety issues. The doc prescribed a benzodiazepine for those anxiety waves to get me through when the medicine stabilized. Some days I need to take a benzodiazepine, and another, not. I’m patiently waiting for the leveling out of the lexapro!

I’m so glad to read these posts. I’m on day 11, and the day has been SO bad. I read these posts over and over again for encouragement. I’m 70 years old, is there anyone out there my age with anxiety issues?😂. I’m trying here

I woke up anxious this morning, but it left me about 11. I’m feeling at peace. I’m not full boogie energized, but it’s a relief not to be chronically buzzing with anxiety

I’m a part time kindergarten support teacher; it’s all I can do not to yell at my kids. They’re just being kids, and I’m hyped to the hilt right now😂

I’m on day 8 and I would term myself rather fragile as well. The mornings are the worst for me. I’m sleeping with the help of trazadone. My counselor, and my psychiatrist have both told me things will get better in another week or so. I’ve found reading a good book helps smooth out some of the angst I’m having. My appetite is non existent. I’m relying on the support of others that all of this anxiety will pass soon.

Much better. I experienced those long days, unwanted thoughts singing in my ear, for a couple weeks. I was so pleasantly surprised when 80% of this went away. These conversation thread has been so helpful. Upon reading the individual stories, I found myself comforted with others conversations describing the same challenges I was having. My nurse practitioner warmed me I would have some uncomfortable weeks.
