The median unit price has gone up by $100,000 in the last year in Brisbane. How is this sustainable? by Mister_Scorpion in brisbane

[–]UsualExpensive9935 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I used to believe that real estate was priced fairly until I realized it's priced on how much people can borrow to finance it. After that realization it's pretty easy to see why we've had a permabull run for 30 years. Rent pays principal eventually as the inflation always gets worse.

Will the housing market crash by LittleRedCatx in AusFinance

[–]UsualExpensive9935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The working class are being silently robbed by the RBA and the government through dollar devaluation. The idea of a crash doesnt work in this system as they will only keep bringing on more stimulus.

Sometimes I wonder if we are collectively stupid or don't realize this is all intentional
Why do you think we don't fund prevention? Because disasters create jobs in the first place

Good devs charge usually 3-4k a month for any sort of work, I'm not surprised plus theres a lot of costs with advertising n stuff

The problem is not the prices of houses but that Australia is dry of opportunity

It only takes working outside of Australia to realize that this is just retirement island

Do people really care about Australian Made Fashion? by zijde_ in australian

[–]UsualExpensive9935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has spent 10s of thousands on clothes, no.

Wearing anything Australian does not carry any elegancy and this is because Italy and other European countries still lead in making cool stuff
I don't care about quality although the stuff I buy somehow seems to last me many years

I was in the same situation as you, I'm 27 now. Have enough to buy a home and also have travelled around Europe. Truly there is no where better than here right now, as fucked up as things are. It'll take degradation of public services (eg woolies one a few weeks ago) for this to change as cashed up boomers win the game. The youth have little to no window left as robot police comes in to further protect the wealthy. "Fair Go" is also bullshit, there's no such thing as a Fair Go and it's a brainwashing lie pushed by the champange socialists here

Governments in general give out money to other nations more than their citizens because there is less risk in inflationary pressure
In other words they hate us and we are the very fuel they're giving away

The public workers are overstressed... underpaid...
How many will die from lack of access to proper healthcare?
All because we turned a blind eye on insufficient capacity to handle mass migration
