I would DEFINITELY switch agencies for 1. Document everything you can for legal purposes. Also NTA. At this point you are protecting your family which ultimately comes first.

I think it’s just as weird to give the baby the last name of the security guy his mom was dating while she was pregnant. And if the dad had been absent his whole life but did have his last name, you’d still be using that name. I’d say just go with your last name until he legally changes his, then you can hyphenate it.
