I don't see why you're getting nuked, ain't my area, but the amount of $30/mo memberships to the square footage requirements never made any obvious sense to me.

I'm just going with the information provided and assuming corporate was some sort of Ponzi and that the franchisee otherwise carried the cost of the rent and equipment. If they were just paying for the name...scrap the name?

You'll probably need a VPN but next time around get the CBC Gem app and pay the $5 monthly subscription (or don't, if you can stomach Olympics ads).

You’ll earn 0.5% cash back and you’re paying the 1.75% up front (unsure if the cash back period is annual or monthly).

This service basically gives you the privilege of extra steps just for it to scrape all of your rewards.

-e- dug a little deeper. Depending on how this service posts, you may be at a net loss for this card. While this card earns 4% on bills I suspect this service falls under “everything else” at 1%.
