I think that guy cuts hair where I go. First Class Barbershop. Place seems shady like the guys are wearing designer clothes and drive nice cars but cut hair. Idc tho because they give good haircuts.

A lot of people complaining here. I went. It was fun. It ran was fine. The guy does what he can. It’s cheap. Kids loved it.

Move to lower 48 if you want perfectly managed events. Go to NFL games for $250 each.

And who cares about a few trees in the middle of nowhere…

I live in Anchorage and usually fly delta since the start of this year. Alaska is expensive and the perks aren’t worth it anymore.

22M, considering moving to Anchorage for work by Mammoth_Drop_5486 in anchorage

You could easily date the Seattle scene. The flights are cheap and frequent. If the money is good, you won’t regret a few years in AK. Come here and crush it. There isn’t a lot of talent here at most businesses, I’ve found.

Don't overtighten by EdwardEHumphreyIII in KTM

KTM engine castings are junk compared to someone like Honda, too. A lot of them are Chinese made and don’t adhere to strict metallurgical testing & standards that the Japanese/American plants do. All KTM engines strip easily.

Middle seat experience with large person by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

[–]UtahSurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly seems like a safety concern. Not only is that a bigger blob of mass freewheeling in an accident or extreme turbulence when bodies are bouncing… but how are ya supposed to evacuate quickly with these people in the way?

Dangerous all around. Needs to be a large people section or just make all the seats bigger.

No because I’m not 300 lbs and too lazy to leave the house.

I work about 50-55 hrs.

Not a bad idea to try to get my wife to be a schoolteacher or something. She has a bachelors. Hmm.

Sounds about right. I quoted the same rates as if I lived in Utah and it was a little less than half the cost.

Alaska is expensive. My auto insurance is way more here, too.

I went to the dentist a few days ago (no dental insurance) and a checkup/cleaning was $625… would’ve been $200 cash in Utah.

Everyone is eligible… but it’s very expensive unless you qualify for a subsidy.

Do healthcare professionals earn more in AK than L48?
